The Big Bang Theory: The Anything Can Happen Recurrence (7x21)

This was actually a pretty cute one.

Sheldon can't decide what he should change his specialty to. Penny suggests changing things up to get him out of his rut and help him decide. Leonard says they should reinstate "Anything Can Happen Thursdays." Penny, Leonard, and Sheldon go walking around to try and find a new restaurant, when they find Bernadette and Amy out for dinner. They had both made excuses as to why they couldn't hang out, so now they've been caught in a lie. They admit that they're tired of hearing Sheldon struggle with his decision, and tired of hearing Penny complain about her stupid gorilla movie. Even Leonard has to admit that Penny has been talking about it a lot.

Penny takes Sheldon and the two of them leave, both angry at their friends' lies. Leonard and Amy have a nice talk about Sheldon, and how hard it is to get close to him. Sometimes, Amy is jealous of the connection between Penny and Sheldon, even though it's obviously not romantic. Sheldon and Penny go to a psychic, which Sheldon obviously thinks is crazy. The psychic tells Sheldon that his life will get better if only he can full commit to the woman in his life.

Elementary: The Man With the Twisted Lip (2x21)

Ahhh what is this I don't even! This was a great episode and it's also the first time all season that I've been really anxious to get to the next one. Usually Elementary is a show that I like alright, but that I don't eagerly await. Now, I want the next episode. Immediately. Let's talk about the plot!

So, the case of the week involved drones and mosquito-sized surveillance equipment. Basically, one of Sherlock's fellow addicts at his meeting goes to Joan and tells her that her sister is missing. Sherlock and Joan take the case. They find the girl, dead, but it turns out that she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time - she was killed for witnessing another death, this time of someone who was about ready to spill secrets about some illicit drone activity. The case had a lot of interesting twists and turns, such as a therapist who was being bribed, and a witness being poisoned via remote distribution in the form of a tiny mechanical insect. At the very end of the episode, we see that Sherlock has taken some of the heroin from the missing girl and has hidden it away. Uh oh!

But even more interestingly, Mycroft is back in town to help manage his restaurant, Diogenes. He's also there to express his interest in Joan. Joan considers it, but of course things are so complicated because of Sherlock. When Joan and Sherlock talk about it, he doesn't take it well. Joan says that she can't date Mycroft with the way things are right now, but she is considering moving out and getting her own place, which would make things considerably easier where Mycroft is concerned. At Diogenes, Sherlock notices a suspicious customer who always seems to be at the same table. Sherlock suspects that Mycroft might be involved in some sort of criminal activity. At first, Joan disregards this, but later on she starts to suspect that Sherlock may be right. And it turns out that he was very much correct - Joan gets kidnapped by these mysterious French baddies!

Parks and Recreation: Moving Up (6x21/22)

I know that Parks and Recreation is renewed for at least one more season, but honestly... this would have been such a great series finale. I sort of wish it was over now, because I loved this episode, and it would have been such a nice way to go out. Let's take a look.

Leslie, Ben, and Andy go to San Fransisco for a National Parks Conference. Leslie gets to meet Michelle Obama! Ben helps convince her to take the job in Chicago. Back in Pawnee, Tom tries to open his restaurant much earlier than planned, to take advantage of the celebrities coming in for the Unity Concert. His first attempt goes very poorly, but April refuses to let him give up on his dream.

The Unity Concert is a big hit. Andy plays as Johnny Karate, but he admits to April that he misses playing in a band. April arranges it so that Mouse Rat can reunite and close out the show with a song about Little Sebastian! Tammi shows up and tries to harass Ron, but he has truly moved on and is happy with his new family. He even gets up on stage and plays the saxophone, finally outing himself as the mysterious Duke Silver.

Modern Family: Australia (5x20)

Okay. I didn't love this episode. There was nothing exactly wrong with it, but I just thought that the Las Vegas episode was so much better, and that they really didn't take advantage of all the comedic opportunities that come from moving these great characters to Australia. They fell into a lot of the classic and overused tropes that pop up when sitcoms do vacation episodes. Let's take a look at the plot.

Phil wants to find a connection to his mother by coming to Australia, where he was conceived. Along the way, Australia seems to be out to get him, as he is continually attacked by kangaroos, jellyfish, mosquitoes, and more. He's also allergic to several things in the country. Gloria tries to protect him, but she's not sure how to save Phil from himself. In the end, Phil is despairing that Australia has rejected him, when a native Australian tells him that the country is always hard on its own people. Phil is an Australian in spirit, after all!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: The Only Light in the Darkness (1x19)

I can't believe how happy I am with the way things are going. Seriously. The momentum is strong. Things are being pushed forward. All of the characters are moving in very interesting directions. Amy Acker is guest starring. Life is wonderful. Let's talk about it!

At Providence, Agent Koenig has the entire team take a very intense lie detector test. Ward nearly fails, but he manages to sneak through by stabbing himself in the finger with something and then blaming his pain on his recently cracked ribs, to account for fluctuations in the readings. Coulson, Fitz, Simmons, and Triplett all leave to go try and track down one of the prisoners who escaped from the Fridge (which I'll talk about in a second) while May, Ward, Skye, and Koenig stay at the secret base.

May announces to Ward that she's leaving, since she was only staying for Coulson, and he obviously doesn't want her around. Koenig and Skye have the idea of hacking into the NSA's video so that they can get a visual on the HYDRA people who broke into the Fridge, and see who all escaped. Ward knows that this will mean he's revealed to be HYDRA. He kills Koenig and stashes him away. Skye and Ward have a talk about their feelings, and share a passionate kiss. However, Skye notices blood on Ward. He says it's just one of his cuts opening up. Skye uses a tracking device to find Koenig, and when she does, she sees his dead body and realizes what that must mean.

Supernatural: Alex Annie Alexis Ann (9x19)

This was Jody Mills' episode, full and simple. And I loved it. Yeah, it was C-plot, but after next week's backdoor pilot, we're just going to have a three-part finale ahead of us. I'm really excited about how this season is wrapping up. Let's take a look at what happens.

A girl named Alex is brought into a police station as a runaway. A vampire turns up to take her back home with him, but Sheriff Jody Mills kills the vampire to protect the girl. She calls in Sam and Dean to help her clear out the nest of vampires in the area. Things get more complicated when we learn that Alex (whose real name is Ann) was kidnapped by these vampires when she was just a kid, and considers them to be her family. She has moral problems with their drinking blood, but at the same time she loves them.

Jody takes Alex to her family's cabin to keep her away from the vampires, while Sam and Dean go to deal with the vamps. However, when they get there we see just one vampire, disposing of the remains of recent victims. Sam and Dean (mostly Dean) torture him for more information, and then Dean kills him. Turns out, Alex works as bait to draw men into the vampire's midst. Sam and Dean realize that Jody is probably in danger. They call her, but they're too late, as the vampires turn up at the cabin, knock Jody out, and take Alex.

Castle: That '70s Show (6x20)

Bahahaha. What the hell did I just watch. That was the weirdest thing ever. I'm pretty sure this episode was about gay '70s gangsters. Um. Yeah. Let's go ahead and go through the plot.

So, a construction crew unearths a body that was buried in concrete in the '70s. They identify him as Vince Bianchi, a crime boss who famously went missing years ago. Vince's consigliere, Harold Leon, is still alive, but he is senile and is stuck back in the '70s, refusing to accept that time has passed since his friend's death. So, in order to get him to reveal what he remembers about that night, everyone has to pretend it's the '70s. This works for a while, but when a hit man comes to try and kill Harold, things start going wrong.

Harold remembers that the night Vince died, he went to a specific club, so they take him there to help jog his memory further. Harold then pulls a gun on one of the other old crime bosses, revealing that he understands what year it is now, and that he wants revenge for Vince's death. Eventually, more of the truth comes out: Vince and Harold were in love. Vince was going to propose to someone the night that he died, but he couldn't go through with it because of his love for Harold. Turns out, the woman that Vince was supposed to propose to is the one who killed him. She's now married to someone else in the old crime families.

The Mentalist: Forest Green (6x18)

Not so sure about the case, but I liked a lot of the character stuff! Let's get going.

A woman is found dead near an all male exclusive country club. This woman is not one of the listed employees at the club, nor is she a guest of any of the members. Still, Jane is sure that she was murdered in the grounds and dumped nearby. During their investigation, they discover that many of the members of this club are rather shady characters; they are all quite wealthy, and some of them are willing to step above the law to succeed.

One such man is anxious because his assets have been frozen, and he wants to make an escape. Jane lets slip that the FBI let him off of murder charges, so this guy goes to Abbott and tries to bribe him. Abbott pretends to accept the bribe, and with Wylie's help they are able to trick this guy into thinking his funds have been freed up and he can flee.

Once Upon a Time: Bleeding Through (3x18)

Not a bad episode, all things considered. Definitely some interesting information in here. This is one of the first "in the past" episodes that we've had in a while that didn't take place during the missing year. And instead of being a rehash of old information, as we often get in those scenarios, this is most certainly something new.

In Storybrooke, Zelena shows up at Regina's house with some green apples (oooh burn) and the two of them have a little chat about jealousy and who's the better sister. This ends up being a distraction so that Rumple, on Zelena's orders, can steal Regina's heart. Regina decides she needs to find out what happened with Zelena in the past, so she decides to do a seance and talk to Cora, her dead mother. Regina, Emma, the Charmings, and Hook all gather around. They try to open a portal to talk to Cora, but at first it doesn't seem like Cora is willing to talk. Everyone else leaves, but Mary Margaret and Regina stay at Regina's house. The two of them talk about how Mary Margaret killed Cora, and Regina admits that the situation was complicated. Suddenly, they hear a noise from one of the rooms...

It's Cora's spirit, and it seems to be here to talk to Mary Margaret, not Regina. Cora imparts information about her past to Mary Margaret and then vanishes. Mary Margaret explains what Cora showed her. Belle then enters and says she's figured out what Zelena is up to: she's after a heart, courage, and a brain, which all points to a time travel spell. The last thing she needs? Mary Margaret's baby. Then, she'll go back in time and change her destiny.

The Vampire Diaries: Resident Evil (5x18)

Holy Hell, why does so much happen on this freakin' show? It's ridiculous. And like ten times as complicated as it needs to be. I get so annoyed with these multiple plot lines that barely make sense, and this week's episode is no exception to that rule. Siiigggh. I'm probably going to miss some crucial important detail in here, but I do not have the energy to be thorough right now.

So, Elena and Stefan are having weird visions of each other, in some idealized alternate world where neither of them are vampires, Elena's parents are still alive, Damon is not in love with Elena... they get married, have kids, and are hopelessly in love. These visions are weird and are obviously making Damon extremely uncomfortable. They all try to figure out what's going on.

Meanwhile, Liv is working with Jeremy, Matt, and Tyler to try and stop the Travelers from taking over Mystic Falls. She makes Matt and Tyler both stab themselves with the Traveler knife to prove they don't have Travelers possessing them. The Travelers, Liv tells them, are going to take over Mystic Falls by becoming passengers in the townsfolk. Matt, Jeremy, and Tyler have to go around stabbing people with the knife to make sure they're not possessed. Real great plan. Bonnie is not happy with Jeremy, because he keeps blowing her off and won't tell her what's going on. She sees that he's working with Liv, but Jeremy still won't tell her anything: he just says she has to trust him.

Grey's Anatomy: Go It Alone (10x20)

O....kay then. Not really sure what I think of this episode. There were some awesome things going on here, but some things just seemed pointless. Let us talk about it.

It's the day before the Harper Avery Award is announced. Christina is acting like it's all not a big deal, but Meredith and Owen are both asking her again and again if they should go with her. Meredith and Christina were supposed to go out drinking and write Christina's acceptance speech, but instead Meredith gets stuck pulling an all-nighter, and she's not the only one. The interns are stuck working with Derek, who pawns the kids off on Callie and Arizona but forgets to tell Meredith. Ben, while working with the interns, falls asleep and doesn't get to participate in a cool surgery. Miranda Bailey goes home and gets some much needed rest, at her husband's insistence, while her gene project rests. It looks like Bailey is going to be able to help the kid with no immune system!

Meanwhile, Jackson and April work on a Deaf kid, and Jackson says he can't understand why the parents don't want a cochlear implant. April says she feels differently, and the two of them get into a big argument - April says that she feels about religion the way that these parents feel about Deaf culture, and Jackson being dismissive of it is not okay. Things escalate until finally Jackson bursts out that God isn't real. April says that she pities Jackson for his lack of faith. Then, she goes to stay with Callie and Arizona.

Parks and Recreation: One in 8,000 (6x20)

The cuteness in this episode is overwhelming. In a good way. My goodness gracious. I'm under a time crunch - aren't I always? - so let's breeze through this.

Leslie and Ben go to the doctor and discover something exciting, but also terrifying - they're having triplets! They want to keep it a secret for now, but Andy already knows that Leslie is pregnant. He's horrible at keeping secrets, but he agrees to try his hardest. Leslie is told by the doctor that it is very important for her to avoid stress. Since she is in the middle of trying to raise money for the unity concert, this is proving difficult. Ben tries to take on the extra stress, but the financial burden of raising three kids starts getting to him, and he freaks out. In the end, Leslie and Ben tell their news to everyone, and they all chip in with different ways they'll help out once the babies come.

Andy spends the entire episode trying to avoid telling April what the secret is. She keeps pushing him, and he finally says that Larry is sick. This causes April to actually be nice to him for once, and she is furious when she finds out that Andy was lying about him dying. Andy finally decides to tell April the secret, but just at that moment Leslie and Ben announce it to the group, which means that Andy actually kept a secret for once!

Parenthood: The Pontiac (5x22)

The season finale! This might actually be the end of the show, since we don't know if they're getting renewed. It feels sort of weird to write this and not know if I'll ever write about this show again... the nice thing about this episode is that it works as a series finale if it must, but it also leaves a lot of stuff open for another season if they can get it. Let's go through what happens!

Zeek and Camille recruit the family to help pack up their house, which causes Adam and Crosby to reminisce about their childhood. They sled down the stairs, play catch with their dad, and feel the sort of bittersweet sadness that will inevitably come when you say goodbye to your childhood home. Crosby actually seems more accepting about it than Adam does.

Drew and Natalie part ways for the summer, and since Drew doesn't have a car, he's not sure if he can go and see her. However, after Drew helps with the moving process, Zeek gives him the Pontiac, and tells him he was always building it for him. Drew, overwhelmed, thanks his grandfather and takes the Pontiac to Natalie, who is happy to see him.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Providence (1x18)

Yikes. They certainly are keeping up the momentum. I am beyond excited about where this show is headed. I hope they can keep it going.

So. We see that Ward and Garrett have teamed up to take advantage of the fact that S.H.I.E.L.D. is in shambles. They free Raina, and we learn definitively that Project Centipede was HYDRA. She is disappointed to find out that the Clairvoyant has no real powers, but she still agrees to help them find the miracle drug that saved Coulson and Skye, so she can continue with Centipede. Ward has a drive with all the information, but it's protected from anyone but Skye, meaning that Ward has to go get her to open it. Ward and Garrett are able to get into the Fridge, and confiscate a lot of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s dangerous protected weapons and alien technology. At HYDRA's base, Ian Quinn is very annoyed with Garrett's actions in imprisoning him. Garrett is able to make up for it by showing Quinn his gravitonium, which he found in the Fridge.

Meanwhile, Coulson and his team get word from Colonel Talbot that a military team is coming to the Hub to take over the remains of S.H.I.E.L.D. Coulson doesn't trust Talbot, so he takes his team on the bus and escapes. Triplett comes with them, at Simmons' insistence. Skye erases the identities of everyone in the team, so that they can remain well and truly hidden. Coulson notices coordinates on his badge, and he believes that they're a message from Fury. Even though May and the rest of the team are skeptical, since Fury is supposed to be dead, Coulson insists on going to the coordinates. May tells Coulson that Fury wasn't the one in charge of the T.A.H.I.T.I. thing, and so maybe Coulson's brain has been altered by HYDRA. Coulson still insists that Fury is sending him a message.

Supernatural: Meta Fiction (9x18)

I don't know... I think I might have been in a bad mood when I was watching this episode, which makes it a tad difficult to be objective about it. In all honesty, I thought Curtis Armstrong did not have his A-game on as far as acting went, so I found myself utterly unconvinced by a lot of what Metatron was saying. But let's slow down and start with what actually happened.

Sam and Dean are still trying to find a way to get to Abaddon, with little success. Cas discovers a group of angels who have all been slaughtered, except for one: Hannah. She tells Cas that Gadreel came and slaughtered all of her fellow angels, on Metatron's orders. She also tells Cas that Gadreel said Metatron would let loyal angels back into Heaven. Cas relays this information to the Winchesters, who decide that they really need to deal with this Gadreel problem.

Sam and Dean manage to catch Gadreel, but they can't get ahold of Cas to tell him what's going on. Dean stays to try and get information about Heaven and Metatron. Sam goes to try and find Cas. Gadreel plays on Dean's insecurities about his relationship with Sam in order to get him to lose control. Dean very nearly kills Gadreel, which is what Gadreel seems to want, but he manages to stop himself. Sam, meanwhile, finds out that Metatron has Cas.

Once Upon a Time: The Jolly Roger (3x17)

I'm cryinnnngggg! Okay, maybe not at this moment. But when I was watching this episode, I actually got a bit choked up. That's pretty rare, I'm a tough costumer when it comes to this sort of thing. But Hook... baby... ahhh! Let's just talk about what happens.

We finally get to learn part of what happened in the missing year! Hook, who is not part of the curse and thus remembers everything, is forced to confront part of what went down. Apparently, he reconnected with Smee and some of his other men. They don't have the Jolly Roger anymore, but Hook and his men are able to keep up their pirating ways on land. One night, at a tavern, the guys try to buy Hook a prostitute. Hook pays the girl but lets her go. Clearly, his heart still pines for another. At this point, a very angry Ariel appears, accusing Hook of kidnapping Prince Eric.

Hook has done no such thing, of course, but he quickly learns from Ariel that the Jolly Roger is involved - whoever is currently crewing that ship, they're the people who took Eric. Hook realizes, based on the dagger that Ariel has, that the man is Blackbeard himself. Hook and his men, with Ariel tagging along, decide to go get the Jolly Roger back. Everyone is very afraid of Blackbeard, but Hook insists that getting his ship back is the only way to get him back to the way he was before. When they arrive at the ship, Hook and Blackbeard fight. Hook initially wins, but Ariel stops Hook from killing him right away: they need him alive to tell them where Eric is! Blackbeard refuses to talk. He says that if Hook surrenders the Jolly Roger, then Blackbeard will tell them where Eric is. Hook makes the wrong choice - he sends Blackbeard off the plank, thus leaving Ariel with no way to find her prince.

The Mentalist: Silver Wings of Time (6x17)

Hmm. Very interesting. Very interesting indeed. I liked this one. It had a very small feel to it, as most of the scenes were at the FBI office. Let us take a look.

A man is killed by a bomb at a bus stop. Turns out, this man was trying to find evidence that his friend wasn't guilty of a crime for which he is being sentenced to death. This friend has only three days left before he is executed. Abbott believes the convicted man when he says he's innocent, and so the team begins to hunt for the real murderer. They figure, whoever murdered the woman all those years ago also killed the guy with the bomb, in order to cover up new evidence he must have uncovered.

The husband of the woman who was murdered all those years ago is now married to a much younger woman. Jane insists that this man, Feinberg, is guilty, but they have no real proof. They bring him in to the office and question him all night, hoping they can get him to fess up before the wrong man is sentenced to death. At first, it seems as if they've failed: the man is executed. However, as Feinberg and his wife leave the FBI HQ, we learn it was all a setup - the man's wife was the one to kill his previous wife, so that they could be together. Luckily, the execution was staged by Wiley editing some news footage. Abbott is able to deliver the good news, and the condemned man goes free.

Elementary: No Lack of Void (2x20)

I'm on a serious time crunch and I'm behind on my reviews and also I have a life outside of watching TV, believe it or not, so this is going to be an exercise in speed-typing.

Joan is asked to examine someone who collapsed in a holding cell, and she finds that the man is dead, from anthrax poisoning. The hunt is on to find the people responsible. Through many twists and turns, Joan and Sherlock first think the anthrax is tied to a radical political organization, but eventually discover a simpler truth: two brothers wanted to poison their cows with anthrax so they could make millions on the insurance.

Meanwhile, Sherlock's friend Alistair dies of a drug overdose. Sherlock wants to figure out what triggered the overdose, because Alistair had been clean for decades, and Sherlock is afraid of what this means for his own future sobriety. He acts out, behaving recklessly on the case by following dangerous men into a mysterious dark space. At one point he even gets covered in a powder that he initially believes to be anthrax, but it turns out it was fake. Joan is really worried about him, but Sherlock assures her that he's not close to a relapse. In the end, he visits Alistair's grave and tells him that he loved him very much and that he will be missed.

Grey's Anatomy: I'm Winning (10x19)

Okay. Jumping right in!

Christina gets nominated for a Harper Avery award, and while everyone else makes a big deal, she tries to play it cool. Meredith is seething with jealousy, but she covers it well, going overboard in showing her support by planning a champagne toast. Bailey is also very jealous, and at first refuses to talk to Christina about the nomination. Bailey has been stuck on her genome mapping project, and is just waiting for a breakthrough, hopefully one that can save the life of the boy with no immune system, who still hasn't been able to come out of his isolation. While working on a surgery with Webber, Bailey has a breakthrough about the genome project and rushes off to start working on it. She also finally tells Christina congratulations.

Christina tries to help the family with three kids with heart defects. It looks like the son might die, but Christina finds a possible solution. The only problem is, it's still in trials and doesn't have FDA approval. Owen calls the FDA and when he name drops Christina Yang, future winner of the Harper Avery, they get permission. It looks like the boy is doing well with the experimental treatment.

The Big Bang Theory: The Relationship Diremption (7x20)

Last time I wrote one of these reviews I managed to keep it very, very, short. Let's try and do that again.

Raj sets up a double date with Bernadette and Howard, so they can meet Emily. We learn that Lucy didn't approve of Raj dating both of them at the same time, so now Raj is down to just one girl. Howard predicts that Raj will mess things up with Emily, but when he finally meets her on the double date, he realizes to his horror that he recognizes her: years ago, he was set up on a blind date with her, but he clogged her toilet and was so embarrassed that he climbed out her window, never to see her again. Howard ends up being the brunt of all the jokes, instead of Raj.

Lots of gross, immature poop jokes. Not really my cup of tea. The only decently amusing bit was when Emily talks about her job, and we get the sense that something might be a bit... off about her, as she says she loves getting to cut people with knives. That could be funny to explore more in the future.

Parenthood: I'm Still Here (5x21)

Yikes, this one was a bit of a tear jerker. We didn't check in with Zeek and Camille this week, instead we focused on the other characters. Let's get started.

Adam, Kristina, Julia, and Mr. Knight are continuing to push forward with plans for the school. They find a historical building that Kristina really loves, but it looks like it will be difficult to get. Kristina learns that Gwen is dying, and goes to say goodbye to her good friend. Kristina is determined to get the building, and goes to Bob Little to try to get him to help. Bob is hesitant, but Kristina reminds him that it's the right thing to do. Gwen dies, and Kristina decides to name the school after her.

Amber brings Max to Hank's place a few times, and is impressed by how well Hank handles Max, and gets him to finish his homework. As Amber leaves Hank's place, she gets a phone call and learns that Ryan has been in an accident. She's panicking, so Hank offers to drive her. They wait at the hospital, where they can't see Ryan because he's in surgery. Sarah, meanwhile, isn't sure what to do about Hank. She can't decide if she thinks she could be with him again, and part of that is because of his possible aspergers. She rushes to the hospital when she hears about Ryan, to see Amber asleep on Hank's shoulder. Amber goes in to see Ryan, who is badly injured, but looks pleased to see her.

Parks and Recreation: Flu Season 2 (6x19)

Ahhhh! I'm so excited. Even though I'm not all that surprised... I'm very excited. Let us take a look at what happened in this lovely episode.

Apparently, it's flu season, and Jerry/Gary/Larry has been infected, so Leslie makes him stay in quarantine in the office. Leslie feels herself getting sick too, but she must power through. Leslie and Andy have to go find a leading act for the unity concert. Their first choice is a young country artist who ends up being a total jerk. Next, they go to a member of an old band that's broken up. Leslie and Andy convince him to get the band back together to play at the unity concert! Also, Leslie finds out that she doesn't have the flu - she's pregnant!

Meanwhile, Tom is trying to find a wine expert to hire for his new restaurant. While there, Tom must compete for the best wine guy with other restaurateurs. Tom loses out, but he ends up hiring Craig, who is equally knowledgeable about wine, even if he is wildly over the top.

Suits: No Way Out (3x16)

I'm so sad the season is over. I want... I want more. I want my weekly fix. It's odd - I watch a lot of shows that should be more compelling than this one... I watch a lot of shows with bigger fandoms... and yet somehow Suits always becomes the show I'm most excited about when it's on. It just... the characters are so dynamic. Every single one of them has complexities. Even the bad guys are well rounded. And that's not to mention that the Harvey/Mike bromance is one of the most understated and beautiful relationships I have ever seen on TV. Let's talk about the plot.

Mike is staying, which is good news... but only to an extent. Harvey is glad that his protégé is staying, but he still wishes he could tell Scottie the truth about what's going on. Mike gets to stay in the job he loves, but Rachel is mad at him for choosing to remain a fraud. Things get even more complicated when US Attorney Eric Woodall brings Mike in for questioning. At first, Harvey panics and thinks Mike has been caught for being a fraud, but it turns out it's about the Hessington Oil case instead.

Mike and Harvey quickly learn that this Eric Woodall guy is actually after Harvey - he wants Mike to turn on Harvey, which of course Mike would never do. Things keep getting worse - since Harold Gunderson was in on the Hessington thing, he's a major liability for them. As Harvey and Jessica start to question what they've become and how much bending of the law they've done recently, Mike and Harold get arrested.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Turn, Turn, Turn (1x17)

I have a feeling that everything leading up to this point has been some sort of trick. Like, we all thought this was a mediocre show at best, with a few standout moments and some okay characters here and there. We all thought we knew what we were getting. And now, it's like everything that's happened so far is meaningless. It's like it was all a prologue, and now we're finally getting into the meat of it all. Oddly, I think this episode shines so spectacularly partly because of how weak the rest of the season has been. This particular episode just shines above the rest. In a way, it's a reboot of the show. We're starting something completely different now. And boy, did we need this.

So. The Bus has been hijacked. Garrett's jet is being attacked by S.H.I.E.L.D. drones. Coulson helps save Garrett and he comes back on board. The team are headed towards the Hub, with no idea what's awaiting them when they get there. Simmons and Triplett are at the Hub, so Fitz and the others know they need to get there to rescue them. Coulson thinks that May is the traitor, although she insists that this is not the case. She says she's been reporting to Director Fury. When she tries her direct line, someone answers and says that Fury is dead. May tells Coulson the truth - she was the one who assembled this team, and she was tasked to report on him, to make sure he didn't exhibit any signs of mental or physical deterioration because of what happened to him when he died. Although Coulson does believe May, he still feels betrayed, because May knew about "Tahiti" the whole time and didn't say anything.

Once Upon a Time: It's Not Easy Being Green (3x16)

I don't know if I really like Zelena as a villain. Sorry, but I think she was more effective when she was a mystery. Now that we know her back story, I'm not sure I buy it. But hey. That's just me. Let's look at the plot.

In the land of Oz, a couple find a baby abandoned in the woods. They decide to name her Zelena. We flash forward to see that Zelena's mother is dead and her father does not truly love her. He is deeply suspicious of her magical abilities. He tells Zelena that she's not really his daughter, and Zelena decides to go find someone who will appreciate her more. She travels to the Wizard of Oz, who shows her the truth about her family. She sees her mother, Cora, and her sister, Regina. She's jealous of everything Regina has, and decides to go get it for herself. The Wizard gives her magic silver slippers that will take her wherever she wants to go. She taps them together three times and travels to the Enchanted Forest.

Once there, she meets Rumplestiltskin. He sees how powerful Zelena is, and decides to train her to cast the curse, instead of Regina. He knows from a prophecy that it must be Cora's daughter, but now he has two sisters to choose from! However, Rumple continues to train Regina alongside Zelena. In the end, Rumple chooses Regina, because the curse involves giving up the thing you love the most, and Zelena loves Rumple the most, which makes her too dangerous.

Elementary: The Many Mouths of Andrew Colville (2x19)

In this case, we get a bit more of Joan's past, which is always nice. However, for all that I love episodes focusing on Joan, I didn't really love this one. It seemed lackluster. I'm not sure if I can explain why. Let's go through a brief plot.

Some new murders involving bodies with bite marks causes an old case to be opened up. The man charged with the old murders is dead. Joan was actually there when it happened, working as a doctor. As these new victims have the same teeth marks, it looks like Andrew Colville might have been innocent after all. Joan is very interested in the case because she's worried that she and her former colleague might have let Colville die because they knew he was a murderer. However, it turns out that there are tons of potential suspects - the bite marks were made by a set of dentures modeled off of Andrew Colville's teeth. They track down everyone who got those dentures in prison, but none of them could have committed the crime. Finally, they discover the truth: Andrew Colville's mother was trying to get a settlement from the police department by making everyone think that her son wasn't guilty of the crime he was put in jail for. Joan, in talking with the doctor who worked on Colville, learns that Colville was guilty. He confessed as much to the doctor before he died.

What did I not like?

The Big Bang Theory: The Indecision Amalgamation (7x19)

A pretty mediocre one, if you ask me. Let's go through each of the plots, but this one is actually going to be quite short. I mean it.

The title comes from Sheldon's indecision about whether to get a PS 4 or a Xbox One. Sheldon won't shut up about it, and when he and Amy go to the store, he still can't make up his mind. This thread was one of the ones that just made me... shrug. I thought Amy was being rude when she was pretending to care about the decision. If it's important to Sheldon, she should be better at understanding that. Also, I thought their kiss was super weird. It seems like it's entirely an obligation on Sheldon's part, and therefore almost feels like coercion. I'm not really comfortable with that.

Raj runs into Emily, the girl from the dating website, and she agrees to give him another chance. Lucy emails him and wants to meet up. Raj isn't sure what to do. His friends tell him to date both girls, but when Raj is out with Emily, he feels so guilty about Lucy that he tells her everything. Emily thinks it's adorable that Raj felt guilty. It seems like this girl might really like Raj! I do like seeing Laura Spencer as Emily, since I'm a fan of hers from The Lizzie Bennett Diaries. But really, nothing about this plot made me want to pay attention, either. Why did Lucy suddenly come up again? It was totally pointless! We never even saw her! I never feel bad for Raj in these awkward dating situations. I actually think he's quite a jerk to girls.

Grey's Anatomy: You Be Illin' (10x18)

Power review! Go go go!

The hospital gets hit with a bout of the flu, and doctors are falling to the illness left and right. However, those that are able must power through to help their patients. For those that do get sick, it seems to come at very inopportune times.

Arizona predicts that she will get sick by the afternoon, stating that it's her superpower to be able to predict these things. Although at first she seems fine, she does eventually fall to the illness, and is oddly happy to find that her power is still intact.

This was really funny. I loved how matter-of-fact Arizona was about it, and how Callie just accepted that she'd be right, juxtaposed with Alex's skepticism.

Derek is trying to prepare for a presentation about the research he's doing for the White House, so this is a really bad time for him to get sick. He has to perform surgery on a kid without an immune system, and due to the fact that he's sick, he has to wear a full isolation suit while performing the surgery. By the time he's finished with that, he's so sick that he can't do the presentation. Luckily, Meredith has heard Derek practice so many times that she is able to take over, and everyone really enjoys her speech.

Parks and Recreation: Prom (6x18)

Cute episode. Especially for Andy and April. It had one plot thread that was a bit eye-roll worthy, but other than that, it was pretty great!

Due to budget cuts during the merger between Pawnee and Eagleton, the senior prom at the local high school got cancelled. The Parks Department decides to throw the prom. This allows for the following little subplots:

Leslie and Ron fight over a high school girl. Leslie wants the girl to take an internship in the department over the summer, but Ron wants her to take a paying job. Things get more and more out of hand, as they each try to convince her to go their way. In the end, she says she isn't sure what she wants to do with her summer, but she appreciates both options. Leslie admits to Ron that she's nervous about leaving Pawnee, and wants to mentor young people to take after her when she's gone.

Parenthood: Cold Feet (5x20)

Okay, last week I was mad at Joel. I'm still mad at him, but now I'm forced to say... Julia! What the hell! Let's go through these different stories. I'll tell you what I think of each.

First of all, Zeek and Camille start packing up the house. Camille has been looking for new places, but so far nothing good. She is having more trouble letting go than she thought, as she doesn't want to get rid of any of their old stuff because of sentimental value. Zeek finds a good place, and shows it to Camille. She loves it.

Cute and simple. That seems to be the case with most of their plot threads nowadays. I'd love to pick up the pace a bit, but I have no real complaints.

Crosby learns that repairing the floors in his house is going to cost a TON of money, money that he really doesn't have. He talks with Adam about it, but Adam says he can't afford to loan him any money, because he's paying for Haddie's college. (Wow! A mention of Haddie! A miracle). The Luncheonette gets a call from the agent of a famous boy band called "4-D," who want to go on tour with Ashes of Rome. However, Oliver Rome says that he's not going to sell out with a group like them. At the launch party for Ashes of Rome's album, the 4-D boys come, and once Oliver Rome sees the luxurious life they're leading, he decides to go on the tour. Crosby is relieved, because the business really needs the money.

Suits: Know When to Fold 'Em (3x15)

Thank you Lord. Thank you for the bromantic wonderfulness that I just witnessed. I'm... so happy. So very, very, happy. Gah. I'll try and get an objective rendering of the plot written down before I start squealing over how awesome it all is.

Starting with the subplot. Louis is heartbroken over his breakup with Sheila, and refuses to come in to work. He tells Katrina to cover for him. This becomes a problem when Jessica needs Louis' help. Charles Van Dyke, previous partner at the firm, shows up, making an out of the blue request to see the books. Jessica needs to find a way to stop Van Dyke from doing that. Katrina goes to Rachel for help, and the two of them come up with a plan to give to Jessica, passing off their work as Louis'. Jessica brings this solution to Van Dyke, but it doesn't work, because Van Dyke finds an obscure part of the bylaws that makes Jessica's solution unusable. Jessica goes to Katrina, furious, and figures out that it was her, not Louis, who came up with this answer. She fires Katrina.

Rachel goes to Jessica and tells her the truth: she and Katrina were both trying to cover for Louis. Rachel tells Jessica that she doesn't think she or Katrina should be fired just for being loyal. Jessica goes to Louis and says that while she understands he's going through a hard time, he really needs to help save the firm right now. Louis comes up with a solution, but it's going to be tricky to pull off in the time they have left. At court the next morning, Jessica has to stall for time with Van Dyke, while waiting for Louis to turn up. Jessica tells Van Dyke that she knows he only hired her because of diversity. She was disgusted about being nothing more than an "asterisk" in Van Dyke's mind, because she was a black woman. Because of that, she worked extra hard to prove him wrong, meaning that she oddly has him to thank for her success. Louis shows up with the solution, and Van Dyke is dealt with.

Modern Family: A Hard Jay's Night (5x19)

Okay, this was a decently cute one. It had some shrug-worthy bits, and I thought one of the threads was pretty stupid, but other pieces were lovely.

Jay hosts a party for his family, but there are a lot of tensions going around. For one thing, Claire spent all week at the office solving all sorts of catastrophes, and Jay won't even say thank you, or tell her she did a good job. While making dinner, Jay continually insults Claire's cooking skills.

Luke hears about a pool party down the street, and he wants to ditch Jay's house with Manny and go to it. Manny doesn't want to, but Luke eventually drags him there. When they get to the house, Luke discovers to his horror that Manny was actually invited to this party. Luke was not. Manny gives Luke advice on how to be better around girls. It seems that they're finally at the age where Manny's maturity gets him further than Luke's childish ways.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: End of the Beginning (1x16)

A cliffhanger! I'm really curious, now. No, the show hasn't suddenly gotten amazing, but these past few episodes have had enough of the unexpected that I still want to know what's coming next. I'm going to try and recount the plot for y'all, but a lot happened. We'll see how I do.

Agents Garrett and Triplett are back, after they are attacked at a safe house by Mike Peterson (from now on to be referred to as Deathlok). Garrett, Triplett, Sitwell, Hand, and Blake join our team, intent on helping them hunt the Clairvoyant. Skye is made into an official S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, so she may be given access to files to help them hunt down the Clairvoyant. She comes up with the idea of pairing off the agents and giving each person in the pair only part of the information, so that the Clairvoyant's powers won't work, and he won't see them coming.

They split up. May and Blake run into Deathlok. Deathlok injures Blake, but Blake manages to hit him with a tracker bullet, so they can now follow him. They follow Deathlok and find Nash, one of their Clairvoyant suspects. Nash is hooked up to life support, and talks to them through a computer. As he taunts the team about Skye dying, Ward loses it, and shoots him dead.

While all of this is going on, Fitz is trying to set up a private line so that he and Simmons can discuss secret stuff, like the tests they're running on Skye's blood. While he's doing this, he discovers the existence of another encrypted line, going straight to May's line. This happens just as Coulson and Skye realize that the Clairvoyant doesn't have psychic powers at all - he has access to S.H.I.E.L.D. files! The Clairvoyant is an inside man! Fitz tells Skye about the suspicious encrypted line, which causes Coulson to think that May is working for the Clairvoyant.

How I Met Your Mother: Last Forever Part 1/Part 2 (9x23/24)

I didn't like it. I'm just going to say that right up front. Oh, also, spoilers to follow. But who am I kidding, you all already know. Very briefly, let me tell you what happened...

So, the two part series finale takes us through the rest of the gang's lives up to the point where Ted tells the story to his kids. During this time, Marshall goes back to work as a corporate lawyer, but eventually gets his judgeship and then moves on to bigger and better things. He and Lily have yet another kid, and finally move out of the old apartment and into somewhere bigger.

Robin gets a dream job, traveling around the world as a newscaster, but unfortunately this job spells the end for her and Barney's relationship. They get divorced. Barney goes right back to his womanizing ways. However, at the end of a "perfect month," (31 girls in 31 nights), Barney finds out that he got a girl pregnant. Once his little girl is born, Barney becomes a changed man. Robin has drifted apart from the group, which upsets Lily especially, since she really wanted everyone to be there for all the important moments.

Once Upon a Time: Quiet Minds (3x15)

Okay. Goodbye, Neal. I think. On this show, I'm not sure whether we can trust any of the deaths... but it sure seems like Neal is gone now. I don't know exactly how to feel about that. But let's take a look.

In the Enchanted Forest, Belle and Neal decide to try and find a way to bring Rumple back. Belle misses the love of her life, of course, and while Neal is sad that his father is dead, his motivations are a bit more specific. he needs the Dark One back, because he believes it will be the way to get back to Emma and Henry. The two of them go to Rumple's castle, where they meet Lumiere, a candle. Lumiere says that Rumplestiltskin cursed him to this form. He helps them find information on how to bring Rumple back, and the two of them go to complete a ritual that will restore the Dark One. However, we learn that Lumiere was never Rumple's prisoner - he was the Wicked Witch's man the whole time. She wanted Rumple returned from the dead for her own nefarious purposes. Neal doesn't care - he wants to bring him back, anyway, so he completes the ritual. This leads to Rumple returning, but Zelena gets the dagger. Belle runs off, and Rumple is under the control of Zelena, the Wicked Witch.

In Storybrooke, everyone is trying to search for Rumplestiltskin. Hook and Belle are in Gold's shop, looking for a way he might have come back, when suddenly someone shows up: Neal, very much alive. Hook and Neal share a moment of reconciliation in the hospital, and then Hook lets Neal go help look for his father, even though he is still weak.

The Mentalist: Violets (6x16)

This was a cute episode! But not as cute as I thought it could have been, given that the setup involved Jane and Lisbon pretending to be dating. However, that might just be my shipper's heart, mourning the lack of PDA.  Let's go through what happened.

Basically, Jane becomes interested in a case involving art thievery. In order to catch the culprit, he arranges an elaborate con. Everyone takes on a role and pretends to play people involved in the art criminal world. Jane and Lisbon are boyfriend and girlfriend in this little scenario. In order for the con to work, they must use real stolen art that the FBI has confiscated because of ongoing investigations. In this way, they get the art thieves to sit up and take notice. We also meet a new FBI agent - a man from the art squad named Pike. He and Lisbon hit it off, and they decide to go out together after the case wraps up.

Wow, that was a short plot summary... I don't mean to be so lacking in the details. We can talk about some good bits here in a second. Let me just start with the few things that didn't totally work for me in this episode... even though overall I think it was a good one.

The Walking Dead: A (4x16)

Dammnnnn. Series finale time, and they're not messing around. Let's talk about this craziness.

Rick, Carl, and Michonne continue on their journey towards Terminus. Along the way, Rick dreams back to happier times at the prison with Hershel, when Hershel taught him how to domesticate the pigs and start growing crops. Rick then taught Carl how to do the same, which got him away from his weapon-focused state.

In the present, however, things aren't so fine and dandy. One night, while camping, Joe and his men turn up and ambush Rick. They hold a gun to his head. However, before Joe can kill him, Daryl shows up and begs the men to let them go. Daryl tells them that if they want blood, they can punish him in place of Rick. However, Joe proclaims that Daryl is a liar for saying that Rick is a good person, and he tells the rest of the group to kill Daryl. A struggle breaks out, in which Joe promises to make Rick watch as they kill Daryl, and then as they rape and kill both Michonne and Carl. Rick manages to spin around in Joe's arms, but his arms are pinned, so he bites Joe's jugular to kill him. With Michonne and Daryl's help, Rick is able to drive the rest of the men back. He brutally stabs Carl's would-be rapist.

The Vampire Diaries: Rescue Me (5x17)

I apologize for my brevity about this episode. I'll try to get everything important down.

So... Damon and Elena participate in an awkward day together at Jeremy's school, as they are both there for a parent/teacher conference. Damon keeps pushing Elena to talk about what happened the night before, while Elena insists that they need to be done for good.

Matt and Tyler see Jeremy talking with Liv at the bar, which is seemingly suspicious. Liv reveals that she's actually quite the proficient witch. She even shows up at the school to try and kill Elena. Damon stops her, and then Jeremy shows up and stops Damon from killing Liv. We learn that Liv and her brother Luke are trying to stop the Travelers from... well, doing something evil that we're not quite sure about yet. Basically, Liv explains, Elena is the last female doppelganger. Stefan is soon to be the last male doppelganger, as Caroline and Enzo are on a mission to kill the last one besides Stefan. Once that happens, the Travelers will want to use Elena.

Eventually, Liv and Luke agree to form an alliance of convenience with Elena and Jeremy, in order to bring down the Travelers together. At the end of the episode, Elena decides to move back to campus. She says that she and Damon are bad for each other and bad for Jeremy, as well. Jeremy decides to stay with Matt and Tyler for a while.

Parenthood: Fraud Alert (5x19)

I'm so mad at Joel right now. I can't even handle it. Let's go ahead and talk about these plot threads, and then I'll complain about some of them. I didn't love this episode, to be honest. It's not like it was all bad or anything, but there were definitely a few weaker plot threads in here.

So. Zeek finds out about a part he needs for his car, so he and Crosby hit the road to go track it down. When they get there, the man at the shop is completely unhelpful and wants to sell the part to them for a ridiculous price. In the end, Crosby makes the deal happen by buying a motorcycle. Along the way, Zeek works through his feelings about selling the house, and tells Camille that they should accept the offer.

In theory, this plot thread is interesting, but I didn't like it as much as I wanted to. I think maybe I've seen enough of Zeek struggling with selling the house. It's starting to feel a tiny bit old, perhaps. However, it was still fun to see Crosby get a motorcycle. I'd actually welcome the return of harsh, controlling Jasmine if it meant we got to see her have a real reaction to this. After all, motorcycles are dangerous, and they don't really have money to waste at the moment.

Grey's Anatomy: Do You Know? (10x17)

What a strange episode. Interesting. Well acted. I'm still not sure if I loved it, though. Let's talk about what happened.

Christina encounters a patient that has the power to change her life forever. Christina does a very difficult surgery on this man's heart, repairing it. However, he is paralyzed from the neck down, and dependent on a ventilator to breathe. At his wife's insistence, Christina asks the man if he wants them to remove the ventilator, and thus die. We then see two divergent paths for Christina, based on this man's response.

In the first, the man says he wants to die. Christina, seeing the frailty of life, decides not to waste another second. She tells Owen that she wants to be with him for real. We then flash forward through their life together, as they get a dog and have kids. Christina takes a back seat in her clinical trial, with the result that Shane steps forward and takes over many aspects. In the end, we see Christina presenting a Harper Avery award to Shane.

Suits: Heartburn (3x14)

Alright. So, from what I can tell from fan reactions to this episode, people had lots of feelings about Louis and Sheila, and all that. But in all honesty? Louis was a jerk in this episode. Not only to Rachel, but to Sheila as well, or so I thought. That's not to say that I don't feel for him at all… and I'm certainly glad that he's okay after his health scare. But I’m not feeling very inclined to say "aww poor baby" right now. Let’s take a look.

So, Louis has a massive heart attack during a closing argument in court. He’s going to be okay, but everyone is very worried about him. Louis, inspired by his near-death experience, decides to propose to Sheila. Once he's feeling better, he comes back to the office and asks Harvey to be his best man. However, all of this bliss is short lived, as Louis tells Sheila that he won't move to Boston for her, even though Harvard is her life. Louis explains to Sheila that his family is at Pearson Specter, and he can't leave his family. Sheila concedes, saying that she's willing to give up Harvard for Louis. However, they then discover a larger problem: Sheila doesn't want kids. She'll never want kids. This is a deal-breaker for Louis, it seems, and we leave the couple in heartbreak.

Meanwhile, Rachel has to start paying for law school. Although the timing is poor, she knows she needs to ask Jessica for money, as per the arrangement Rachel had previously made with Louis. However, Jessica knows nothing about it. Apparently, since the agreement was verbal, it won't hold up. Rachel goes to Louis and asks him about it, using hypothetical phrasing, and Louis says that Rachel's "friend" doesn't have a prayer of getting that contract to stick. Rachel is hurt, but she decides she needs to do something proactive. She goes to Jessica with a new contract (written this time) and says she wants an advance on the money she'll earn working for Pearson Specter, and that she'll work part time for the firm as an associate. Jessica says she won't break precedence again, since she's already breaking the Harvard rule. However, Rachel gleefully uses Harvey as Exhibit A… Jessica paid Harvey's way through law school! Jessica concedes.

Modern Family: Las Vegas (5x18)

This was the funniest episode of Modern Family that I've seen in a very long time. No kids, just the grownups, and there were so many layers to each joke that I could hardly keep up. I was cracking up the whole time. I'm going to try to go through the plot, but there's no way I can hit all of the hilarious moments in this episode. Go watch it, if you haven't. Seriously.

Jay sold some cabinets to the owner of a Las Vegas hotel, and he procures fancy VIP rooms for himself and Gloria, Mitch and Cam, and Claire and Phil. While there, tons of shenanigans go down.

First of all, Jay becomes obsessed with the fact that they aren't in the most VIP level of the hotel. He tries to get a meeting with the owner of the hotel and asks him to bump them up to the next level. When he succeeds there, he learns that there's another level about that. Gloria sees an ugly dog statue named "Rebarka" that is a matching set to the statue they already own, Barkley. Gloria doesn't want Jay to buy it, so she decides to put it on hold to avoid Jay getting his hands on it. It gets delivered to their room by mistake.

Supernatural: Mother's Little Helper (9x17)

Misha's directorial debut! I feel bad, but I actually didn't watch it right away… to be honest, I wasn't in any rush, because I knew that we had a painful two weeks off before the next episode. Why make myself wait even longer? But I've watched it now. I wish I could report that this episode was outstanding, stupendous, one for the history books. I can't do that. But I'm happy to report that it was solid. And informative. And moved the story forward in some interesting new ways. It may not have done much more than fulfill its basic storytelling function, but that's really all we can look for, sometimes.

So. Dean has been researching Abaddon, and Sam points out that he's acting a bit obsessive. Dean says that he's just doing his job, and although Sam remains skeptical, he decides to go work a case, leaving Dean to his search.

While Sam is gone, Dean turns to alcohol. He ends up in a dive bar with Crowley. The two of them discuss the Mark of Cain and all that nonsense. At one point, Crowley gets up to use the restroom (actually to shoot up on human blood). Another hunter in the bar moves to go kill him, but Dean talks him out of it. Later, we see this "hunter" talking with Crowley. Apparently, it was a test, and Dean did exactly what Crowley thought he would by talking the hunter out of hurting Crowley.
