Bob's Burgers: The Keyboard Kid (16x11)

Cons:

This is an insane thing to say but it did bother me a little bit that nobody figured out that typing "properly" is actually faster than hunt and peck lol. Like, no judgment, people should do whatever they want forever, but eventually I feel like you hit a ceiling just using a couple of fingers to type. Also, they never brought accuracy into it when they were grading the contest. Probably just ignore me.

Pros:

Overall, I really liked the main plot of this episode, featuring Tina signing up for an elective to boost her GPA, just so she can go on a trip to rock climb with Jimmy Jr. She specifically is looking to belay for Jimmy so she can stare at his butt, a fact that she gleefully shares with her entire family. Tina is kind of a legend. In Tina's typing class, she offends the teacher by being able to reach a pretty decent WPM (110!) without using the proper method. This leads to a typing battle, which Tina does ultimately win.

I think what I like about the school episodes of this show is that even when the stuff between students and teachers gets adversarial, there's always the vibe that everyone is slightly joking around. Like, the other teachers want their colleague to win so the students won't start constantly demanding battles, but also they genuinely get into the spirit of the thing. This week, Louise and Gene are just there to support their big sis, which is another dynamic I always think is really fun on this show.

In the subplot, Teddy has been hired to help build a fancy grill, and it leads to Bob helping out, and then the two of them and Linda all having a fun grill party at this guy's house. But, plot twist, turns out the guy has a camera and is going to see them taking advantage of his property. So, they advise a way for Teddy to look like a hero, showing him saving the grill from a wayward car and an angry man with a baseball bat. Apparently this works, which is hilarious. Probably my biggest laugh of the episode was the guy watching the security footage on his phone, his eyebrows going wild as there were more and more plot twists to the footage.

That's all for now. This show is always good for a nice relaxing time, these characters are so comforting to me at this point!
