I'm going to try and move super quickly since we've got three of these to go through!
Cons:
I kind of wish Guillermo wasn't starting off at such a low point, since I think it's sort of funnier if he has his life together and Nandor is just bewildered by his competence... but that may be a personal preference thing.
Colin being over-fed on misery and gaining weight just isn't that funny to me, I'm trying to think if I've ever found putting an actor in a fat suit amusing...
Pros:
This was a really fun opening to the season! Jerry was a great conceit - the idea that these absent-minded vampires would have forgotten a whole-ass fifth roommate is very much on brand. And his irritation with them was also great. The idea that he might have been the reasonable one who kept things moving on time is vaguely horrifying to contemplate but it also makes sense. The fact that they've survived these last few decades without him is miraculous.
The Nandor and Guillermo relationship is always going to be a highlight of this show for me. We see Nandor basically... whipped and pining, here. He allows Guillermo to live in the shed and is moping around but refusing to admit that he misses Guillermo. He's doing his best, in his own stunted way, to respect Guillermo's boundaries and his own life desires and goals. I love Nandor moping around asking if Guillermo would have respected him more if he had killed him.
Of course, Guillermo is also there to save these fools from themselves, as he's the one to manage the Jerry situation and stop them from killing him outright. The minute the gang knows Guillermo is still nearby, they're asking him to step back into his Familiar role. They need someone to keep them in line, that's for sure!
I'm excited to see what becomes of the renewed plan to conquer the New World, now that Jerry is back to remind them of their long-abandoned goal!
8/10
