Parks and Recreation: One Last Ride (7x12/13)

I can't believe it's really over! This was so emotional. I really wasn't sure what to expect for this final double episode, but what I got was stunning. Let's go over the plot.

Basically, the whole gang comes together one last time to help repair a broken swing. They succeed, cutting through all the bureaucratic red tape to complete their goal. Along the way, Leslie laments the fact that everything is changing, and that she just wants everybody to be together and happy. Ben promises that some day all of these people will be reunited, even if it takes a while. Throughout the episode, as Leslie says goodbye to everybody, we get flash-forwards of what happens to each character's lives over the next several years. I'll quickly list some of the outcomes.

Donna and Joe move to Seattle. Joe struggles as a teacher, because so many programs are not being funded. Donna, who is very wealthy, decides that she wants to establish a program through April's company called "Teach Yo' Self," which would pay teachers for running after-school clubs and the such.

Craig ends up falling in love with Typhoon (the hair stylist). They live a long and happy life together.

Jean-Ralphio and his sister Mona Lisa fake Jean-Ralphio's death as a life insurance scam. They watch the funeral from behind a tree and then run off together to open a casino.

Castle: The Wrong Stuff (7x16)

Castle has always had an interesting relationship with science fiction. It's one of my favorite things about the show, to be honest. It's a procedural cop show with a slight twist in genre. This show has dealt with time travel and other SF related concepts before, and this new episode took it to a whole new level. Let's dive in.

Basically, an astronaut participating in a highly advanced Mars simulation winds up dead. Castle is giddy to be able to "go to Mars," figuratively. I'll cut right to the chase - the murder ends up being a collaboration between the other astronauts. They all hated the victim and knew that going into space with him was going to compromise the mission. They programmed the computer to kill the victim using the Rover.

Meanwhile, Castle and Beckett are finding it difficult to get time alone. Martha has her new boyfriend over all the time, and Alexis has her friends over as well. Castle decides to call a family meeting to think about how they're going to manage the chaos. To his surprise, Martha announces that she's going to find a new place to live, since she's doing better financially and wants her own space.

That was a criminally short plot summary, but it gets the basics across. I loved this episode. It was exactly what I wanted. Something light and clever after the double episode angst we just got finished dealing with.

The Walking Dead: The Distance (5x11)

Wow. These episodes just keeping getting better. Two weeks ago, I was disappointed by the premiere of the back half of this season. Then, last week's episode was a solid establishing episode, getting things back on track. This week, we get something new, and it's awesome.

Maggie and Sasha take Aaron back to the barn, where Rick and the others immediately search him for weapons and keep guns pointed at him. Aaron tells the group about the Alexandria community, showing them pictures and telling them all about it. Rick doesn't trust him, punching him and tying him up. Aaron tells the group that he and one other person brought vehicles to bring them to the community. Michonne and some of the others go to check out the cars, to see that Aaron is telling the truth. The rest of the group is ready to trust Aaron, but Rick still isn't sure.

Rick decides that they will go to Alexandria, but they'll take an alternate route. Aaron says it's a bad idea, because the main route has been cleared and secured, but Rick wants to be cautious. This almost results in disaster, as the vehicles are overrun by Walkers on the way. However, everybody gets out okay. Aaron reunites with the other member of the community who came to collect the "recruits." Eric, Aaron's partner, has a broken ankle but is otherwise okay.

As the group finally approaches Alexandria, Rick hears children laughing and playing inside. He decides to believe in this place at last, and they all go inside the walls.

The Vampire Diaries: Let Her Go (6x15)

Ahhhhh! Poor Caroline! But then yay Bonnie! And yay Alaric and Jo! So many emotions going on right now. This episode was pretty poignant and emotional. A lot of stuff was going on here, and it made me very happy. Let's take a look.

The main plot of the evening is focused on the funeral of Elizabeth Forbes. Caroline is in project-mode, just wanting to get through the horrible few days and get the funeral over with. She and Elena go casket shopping while everybody else helps to whip the funeral into shape. Damon is supposed to write the eulogy, but he can't figure out what to say. We see in flashbacks how Damon failed to show up to his mother's own funeral, letting a ten-year-old Stefan down by not reading the speech he was supposed to prepare for the event. Damon eventually realizes, with a little help from Elena, that this speech isn't about him, or even really about Liz, but about Caroline. He delivers a touching speech, where he tells Caroline that Liz was proud of her, and he calls both Caroline and Liz "extraordinary."

Caroline and Stefan are both wondering what to make of their kiss. Obviously, this whole thing has terribly bad timing. Stefan goes to Damon for advice, and Damon advises him to "pull the rip chord," because Stefan clearly doesn't feel the "true love" feeling for Caroline. Stefan thinks about it, and later realizes that even if how he feels for Caroline is different than how he felt about Katherine or Elena, it might still be something wonderful. Caroline, however, tried to ask Stefan about their relationship earlier, and Stefan had shut her down, promising that they could talk about it later. Caroline, devastated by her mother's death and with not even the promise of Stefan's love to help her, decides to flip her Humanity switch. Elena figures out what she's up to and tries to talk her out of it, but Caroline snaps Elena's neck and disappears, just in time to miss Stefan, who came over to talk to her.

Elementary: When Your Number's Up (3x15)

Interesting episode. Not sure about it, really. Pretty grim, but also hopeful in certain ways.

The case of the week is this: a woman whose husband died in an airplane crash starts manipulating the airline by killing off relatives of other deceased people from the crash. She's making a statement about how much money every person is worth. She wants to manipulate the airline into paying a fixed sum to each family, instead of doing a sliding scale depending on the worth of the person. This woman is wealthy, but her husband had a disease meaning he'd have a tragically short life. She'll get more money if the fixed sum is set. Luckily, our team is able to catch her before she continues her rampage. She does kill two people, though.

Meanwhile, Joan has moved back into the Brownstone. She wants to get rid of all of her stuff from the apartment and dedicate herself fully to living and working with Sherlock. Sherlock secretly leases Joan's old apartment and doesn't want her to get rid of her furniture. Joan asks him if he doesn't want her there. Sherlock says of course he does - he's just worried that she's being a bit hasty. It seems as if she's jumping in too quickly, probably due to the trauma of Andrew's death. Joan eventually figures out a good compromise - she sets up a space for herself in the basement, and then closes off the door to the stairs leading up to the rest of the Brownstone. Now, she'll have her area where she can spend time and meet clients, and in order for Sherlock and Joan to visit each other's spaces, they'll have to physically leave the Brownstone and go around to the outer entrance.

That's a brief plot summary, but I want to get in to the specifics of this episode.

Grey's Anatomy: The Great Pretender (11x12)

Great episode. Lots of stuff happened, and a lot of it was rather detailed and convoluted, so I'll try and get all the important stuff written down.

Meredith comes back from her weekend trip, but she's evasive about what she's been up to. Maggie confronts her, saying that Derek called three times asking where she was. Meredith doesn't think she owes Maggie an explanation, but eventually she does tell Maggie what happened. She got to the airport, but then she chickened out and spent the weekend alone in a hotel. Maggie assumes that this must have been a horrible experience for her, and she sympathetically hugs Meredith. Meredith later tells Alex that she enjoyed the time alone, because it gave her an opportunity to be herself - not a doctor, a wife, or a mother. She doesn't want to leave Derek, but she doesn't want to be around him right now, either.

Meanwhile, Arizona and Dr. Herman spend time together prepping for all sorts of cool surgeries. Dr. Herman learns that Arizona isn't as straight-laced as she assumed. She learns about Arizona's affair, and about her living with residents like Jo, who frequently walks naked around the house. Dr. Herman is delighted by this. The two women bond.

Callie and Amelia talk about how they both used to be good at one night stands, but how it's more difficult now. Callie picks up a guy at a bar, and Amelia finally does something about the Owen situation. She shows up at his trailer, and the two share a kiss.

The Big Bang Theory: The Comic Book Store Regeneration (8x15)

Wow! An episode with actually funny jokes and some more serious character relationships being explored? What universe have I fallen into? I shouldn't over-sell it, because this wasn't anything remarkable, but I actually felt like this was a rather solid episode of this show.

Sheldon is upset to find out that Amy helped Barry Kripke with some string theory research, since Amy never helped him when he was studying it. Sheldon goes to Penny and complains about Amy, but Penny says that maybe he needs to let it go. She helps him with techniques for getting over his anger. Sheldon tells Penny that Amy has been secretly testing her intelligence against the monkeys in her lab by making Penny solve puzzles. Penny feels insulted and hurt. Leonard realizes that Sheldon had been doing the same thing to him. They confront Sheldon and Amy about it, but they're pretty unapologetic about the whole thing.

Meanwhile, Stuart is ready to re-open his comic book store, thanks to the money that Howard's mother gave him for that purpose. Everybody comes together to congratulate him on the opening, but Howard still can't get over the weirdness of Stuart living with his mother. Howard and Stuart argue over some furniture that Stuart took from Mrs. Wolowitz's house to use in the store, and things get more and more heated. However, at this point Howard gets a call from from Florida, where his mom was visiting family, and learns that his mother has passed away.

Modern Family: Fight or Flight (6x15)

Eh. Nothing wrong with this episode, but there were only a few really funny moments mixed in with a lot of mediocre material.

Phil and Claire are on a plane on the way back from a camping trip. Claire gets an upgrade to first class, abandoning Phil in coach. Claire feels that she deserves this, because she suffered through the unbearable trip with Phil and his crazy friends. Claire meets a woman in first class who seems to be perfect, offering her a neck pillow and chocolates, but then it is revealed that the girl is a racist who insists on eating stinky cheese on the plane. Back in coach, Phil is having a wonderful time, sitting between a magician and a masseuse, who gives him a back rub as the magician does tricks for him. Eventually, Phil realizes that Claire deserves some peace and relaxation after putting up with him for the trip, so he switches with her.

This plot wasn't the best. I feel like I've seen every sitcom out there do this type of episode, where shenanigans ensue on a plane. The reveal that Claire's companion was racist didn't come across as very funny, either. I did enjoy Phil's enthusiasm for the magician's tricks, though. Also, Claire talks about how Phil and his gymnastics friends kept updating their "tumbler tumblr," so that made me laugh for obvious reasons. All in all, not a bad plot thread, but not a great one either.

Manny is getting picked on in his culinary class. Gloria asks Jay to help teach him to be tough, but she insists that Jay pretend it's his idea instead of hers. After Manny takes some lessons in punching, he confronts his bully. Too bad the bully was trying to apologize with a homemade dessert... Jay and Manny realize that the real bully in their lives is Gloria, who always makes them do what she wants. They try to stand up to her, but she squashes them down.

Suits: Derailed (4x14)

Oh. No. Donna! I'm freaking out. What the hell is going to happen? I can't believe we only have two more episodes until the season is over... this show is my favorite. I always miss it when it's not around. Let's go ahead and talk about the plot of this one. A lot of good stuff going on here.

Mike gets a call from Professor Gerard, who asks for Mike's help with a case. Apparently, an accident at Liberty Rail caused a lot of deaths, and somebody has information that could prove the company was responsible. Mike also learns that Gerard knows his secret. Harvey doesn't want Mike to take the case, because it's a whistle-blower case, but Mike asks Harvey for a chance. Mike talks to the informant, who says that the brakes were faulty and that's why the accident occurred. When Mike tries to get proof, he is cut off by the Liberty Rail lawyer, who has a document proving that they had all their brakes tested. Mike also learns that his whistle-blower informant has done the same sort of things at a lot of his previous jobs, making him extremely unreliable.

Harvey tells Mike to pull the plug on the case, but Mike begs him for more time. Harvey gives him 24 hours. Mike knows that if he can find a paper trail proving that the company replaced the brakes after the accident, he can prove their guilt. Mike despairs, because 24 hours isn't long enough to get the papers through legal means. Donna to the rescue! She talks her way into the Liberty Rail office and gets the evidence. Mike and Harvey use it to strong-arm Liberty Rail into paying a settlement and publicly announcing their fault.

The Mentalist: Brown Shag Carpet/White Orchids (7x12/13)

I am so happy. I am so happy. And sad. It's over! It's really over! You know, The Mentalist was one of the first shows I ever got seriously invested in. It's been a big part of my life for years now. It was definitely time to say goodbye, but that doesn't make it any easier.

The serial killer is still out there. Jane goes on various news shows to promote the idea that he's a psychic helping the FBI, because they know the killer is interested in psychics. Jane gets kidnapped by the murderer, and is forced to pretend to be a real psychic in order to stay alive. When the guy leaves the room, Jane breaks out of his cuffs and sets up an elaborate system in order to trick the murderer and blow the house up. He does so, destroying the decimated corpse of the murderer's father, which had been in the house all along. Lisbon shows up in time to see the house explode, and she frantically goes inside looking for Jane. Jane is okay, but a little shaken up.

Jane tells Lisbon that he's going to renovate a little cabin and get it ready for the two of them to live in. He says he's not sure about continuing to work for the FBI, but he promises he's not going to run again. Lisbon asks him if he's ready to take off his wedding ring, but it looks like maybe not yet. Eventually, though, Jane does take off the ring. He says he wants it to be something he shares with Lisbon moving forward. He wants it to be a symbol of their future together. He proposes, and Lisbon accepts.

Supernatural: The Executioner's Song (10x14)

Ouch. Ouch ouch ouch. Everything hurts. This is not nice. And we have to wait a month to see what comes next?! Come on!

Sam, Dean, and Cas are all still on the lookout for Cain. Sam and Dean discover that Cain has kidnapped a prisoner on death row named Timmy Tolliver. At the same time, Cas gets information out of a demon about Cain's recent whereabouts, and finds a bunch of freshly dug graves. It looks like Cain is on a killing spree. Cain shows up and tells Cas that he is murdering all of his descendants, which amounts to about 1/10th of the world. He also tells Cas that there is no cure for the Mark.

The trio realize that in order to stop him, Dean will need to be reunited with the First Blade, which is the only thing that can kill Cain. Sam is worried that Dean won't be able to come back from a fight like that, no matter if he succeeds in killing Cain or not. Dean knows, but he doesn't see that there's any other option. Dean calls Crowley and asks him to bring the Blade. He lies and says that Crowley is on Cain's kill list. Crowley ignores Rowena's plans to go kill a witch, instead leaving her behind and going to meet up with the Winchesters.

The four of them have a plan to catch Cain. They know Cain will be going after Timmy Tolliver's estranged son, because he is eradicating families one at a time. They use an illusion to trick Cain into a barn, where they use a devil's trap on him. Crowley gives Dean the Blade, and he goes into the barn to fight Cain, unaided by Sam and Cas. He says that he'd be too distracted to have them in there with him. They would just be liabilities.

Parks and Recreation: Two Funerals (7x11)

A little bit less unified and therefore less impressive than the episodes we've had recently, but I did really enjoy it nonetheless.

It seems like everybody is moving on all at the same time. Leslie and Ben have started looking for a place in DC, April and Andy are leaving, Donna and Joe are planning to move to Seattle, and Garry is retiring. As they are all discussing these changes, they learn that the mayor, Walter Gunderson, has died. It is up to Ben as city planner to find an interim mayor until an election can be held. Ben and April go around trying to find someone who would be suitable. April tells Ben that he would make a great mayor, but Ben says he can't go through with it. He doesn't want to erase his memories of Ice Town. He's glad that his first disastrous attempt at being mayor happened. It was what led him to Pawnee, to Leslie, and to the wonderful life he has now. He decides to make Garry the mayor, to April's horror. Leslie throws a little inauguration party for Garry, complete with a throne and a hot air balloon, and, of course, a banner.

Meanwhile, Ron discovers that his barber, Salvatore, has died. He is devastated, because Salvatore was a big part of his routine. Donna and Andy both help Ron to move on, going with him to the service, and later finding him a new barber. At first he is horrified by the flashiness of the new guy, but then he starts to enjoy himself, as the guy starts talking about how much he hates Europe, and bicycles.

Parks and Recreation: The Johnny Karate Super Awesome Musical Explosion Show (7x10)

Aww! Well that was fun! Let's briefly go through the plot, although really this episode wasn't so much plot-oriented as it was... joke oriented. In a good way.

The entire episode takes place during Andy's very last Johnny Karate show. He and April are getting ready to move to DC, so it's time to say goodbye. The show involves all sorts of fun segments, such as April teaching the kids about animals, Ron teaching everybody how to build something, Ben teaching the kids something, and Leslie encouraging everybody to try something new, even if it's scary.

Leslie and April surprise Andy by turning the rest of the show into a tribute to Andy and all of his wonderful years in Pawnee. They take him through his journey from a loser with two broken legs, a shoe shiner, a candidate for a police officer, a member of the band Mouse Rat, and finally a beloved children's entertainer.

April is upset because she sees how much Andy loves this job, and she doesn't want to take him away to DC and ruin his dreams. Andy says that he loves April more than anything, and that he wants to move to be with her. They'll discover the next part of their adventure together!

Castle: Reckoning (7x15)

So, this episode was pretty intense. I'm actually the tiniest bit torn about it, though, because it was sort of too intense, you know? There weren't really any quieter moments to break it up. It was all go, go, go from start to finish. Let's take a look, but I'm going to be brief in my plot summary.

Castle and the rest of the team are on a frantic hunt to find Beckett, who has been kidnapped by Tyson and Kelly Nieman. Castle gets overzealous, confronting Tyson with a weapon and threatening him. At this point, Tyson is still pretending that he's Michael Boudreau. Castle is arrested for harming what appears to be an unarmed and innocent man. However, he gets a call from Tyson and hears Tyson ask "how did it feel to be that close?" Now that everybody is sure it's Tyson, the fight gets amped up a bit.

Castle realizes that the only way to beat Tyson is to stop going along with what he wants. Captain Gates tells Castle that he needs to find the story of Tyson. Why is he the way he is? What will his next move be? Castle is able to figure out what Tyson wants. He goes to Tyson's former cell mate and gets information about a safe place where Tyson used to go as a kid. Castle shows up there. Tyson is lying in wait. He catches Castle.

Meanwhile, Beckett wakes up to find herself strapped down in a room with Kelly Nieman. Kelly talks about what a great face she has. She says she's going to need a new face to go under cover, and she chooses Beckett's. Beckett manages to work herself free from her bonds just in time to stop Nieman from cutting her.

The Walking Dead: Them (5x10)

This episode was much more what I was expecting from last week's episode. The whole big group was there, and we explored the ways in which everybody is grieving. I enjoyed this episode a lot, even though not a ton of stuff happened. Let's go through a brief summary.

The whole group is united in their efforts to get to DC, but it's a long trek, and they are all emotionally and physically exhausted. Maggie retreats inward, refusing to talk to anybody, while Sasha lashes out, nearly risking everybody at one point when she attacks a hoard of Walkers. Daryl is also playing the avoidance game, going on little scouting assignments to get away from the group. Carol goes with him and tells him that he needs to let himself feel the pain of losing Beth, in order to start to heal.

While on their long trek towards DC, they come across a bunch of water bottles in the road, with a sign on it saying it's from a friend. Everybody is nervous to drink it, in case it's some sort of a trap. Eugene offers to try it to test it out, but Abraham won't let him. Right at that moment, it starts to rain, to everybody's relief. As they all get prepared to catch the water in order to drink it, they notice that the rain is turning in to a vicious storm. Daryl directs them all into a barn that he'd found earlier.

During the night, Daryl notices a huge hoard of Walkers coming for the barn. Everybody helps to push the doors closed, while the storm rages outside. The next morning, the storm has cleared up, and they see that the Walkers outside have been torn to pieces by the weather. As Maggie and Sasha head off to be together in grief for their recently dead siblings, they meet Aaron, who says he's their friend, and that he wants to meet Rick.

The Vampire Diaries: Stay (6x14)

Aw man. Another tearjerker. I've been watching a lot of sad TV lately, and it's bumming me out. Let's just dive right in.

Okay. In this episode, Jeremy is getting ready to leave to go to art school. Elena and Damon compel the principal of his high school to let him graduate early so he can actually get out of town. Jeremy says goodbye to his friends, celebrating with drinks, and smoking pot with Elena. (The pot was apparently from Jo's stash, but Damon was the one to give it to Jeremy as a going away present). Elena then has to leave to help the sheriff and Damon with something (I'll get there in a second), and Jeremy is attacked by Enzo, who uses Jeremy as leverage to get Matt to do what he wants (again, I'll get there in a moment). Elena insists that Jeremy needs to get out of town, because he shouldn't be subjected to all this vampire drama anymore. Jeremy leaves town, but it turns out the whole art school thing was just a ruse - Alaric drives Jeremy away from Mystic Falls and wishes him luck on his new life as a vampire hunter.

Damon spends the day with Liz, helping her to close some of her old cold cases. She doesn't want to leave anything unfinished. Damon is able to close a lot of the cases by informing her that he was the murderer, but there's one case that's a little more complicated: the Gilberts. Was anything weird going on when their car drove off the bridge? Was there foul play? Damon has Elena and Jeremy help out, and eventually the pieces are put together. Elena's mom had called Liz earlier with an urgent message, which just turns out to be her trying to bust Jeremy for smoking pot. The reason they were on the bridge instead of the safer, quicker route was because a storm had put a power-line down across the road. The trunks in the car were because Elena's father was going to plan a surprise trip for the family, but the storm stopped them. The storm also explains the lack of skid marks on the road. Liz is oddly disappointed that nothing mysterious happened. She wanted there to be a reason for the deaths. That would make it easier to handle.

Elementary: The Female of the Species (3x14)

I am very, very, torn about this episode. So many things worked about it, but there are some other things that felt like a real letdown. Part of it is that this is just not at all what I was expecting after last week's cliffhanger, and so I'm left feeling a little bit lost. Let's get started.

Joan is convinced that Elana March is responsible for Andrew's death, and she goes to talk to her in prison. There's no hard evidence to connect Elana to the crime, but Joan just knows that it was she who tried to kill her. Sherlock is worried about Joan, because she is pulling back and not talking to anybody about what she's going through. Sherlock checks up on her, brings her food, etc. to try and make her feel better, but he also has his own case to work on.

Apparently, two pregnant zebras have been stolen from a zoo. Sherlock asks Bell to come in on this one case and work it with him. Bell does so, and the two of them discover that the zebras were pregnant with a deceased species called the Quagga. Of course, these formerly extinct and now re-born babies are so rare that they will sell for a lot to the right buyer. Sherlock and Bell manage to track down the zebra kidnapper, and the case is completed.

Joan gets a letter from Jamie Moriarty saying that she won't let anything happen to Joan, since Joan still has an important part to play in the relationship between Jamie and Sherlock. Jamie has Elana March killed, although of course there's not going to be any way to prove it. Joan realizes that she can't have a "normal" life and still be a detective. She needs to give in to it, and dedicate herself fully to her work. She wants to move back into the brownstone and work with Sherlock.

Grey's Anatomy: All I Could Do Was Cry (11x11)

Okay then! That was a tear-jerker.

This episode was all about April and Jackson and their baby. They find out that their little boy is unlikely to live more than a few hours after being born. Dr. Herman also tells them that the baby's bones are breaking, and April is distraught to discover that the baby is in pain. She doesn't know what to do, as she is wrestling between what God would want, and her compassion for her child. Catherine Avery arrives and helps out by suggesting that April pick a date, and then induce labor. Then, she can hold her little baby in her arms until God takes him. April agrees to this, but on the day of, she has second thoughts. Dr. Herman wants Jackson and April to sign a death certificate, so that they don't have to deal with it later, and April freaks out.

As she and Jackson are trying to decide on what to name their baby, April realizes that she can't go through with this. What if there's a medical miracle, and she is turning her back on it? She runs out.

The rest of the doctors in the hospital all don't know how to offer their condolences for what April and Jackson are going through. Amelia suggests giving them their space, and lighting a candle in the chapel. Throughout the episode, as everybody has their own stuff going on, people come and light candles to honor April and Jackson and their child.

Callie and Bailey have a patient who was accidentally shot by her husband. Just as they are about to take her into surgery, she gives birth to a little baby. The catch? She didn't even know she was pregnant! They manage to save the woman's life, but it is a close call. Apparently, this woman had been told that she couldn't get pregnant, so this baby is pretty much a miracle. The happy parents celebrate their new little girl.

The Mentalist: Byzantium (7x11)

Oh man. I can't believe next week is the end for this show. I'm probably going to cry. Let's just dive right in to the plot of this one, and see what's what.

Jane has been gone for about a week, and he won't answer any of Lisbon's calls. The FBI really need Jane on this case, though, as two teenagers were killed in their car and they can't figure out why. A young man shows up to the FBI claiming to be a psychic with information on the killer. Lisbon actually has Jane arrested for "failing to appear" and brought to the team. Jane talks to the psychic, trying to decide whether the guy is a fraud, or the killer himself.

Things get more complicated with this supposed psychic collapses, giving a message to Wylie from Vega as he doe so. Apparently, Vega says that she's okay, wherever she is. The psychic also says something about red clay. Wylie does some research, and the team finds five more bodies dug in craves in red clay. They haven't been able to find the killer, but they do find Gabriel, the psychic, dead from hanging.

Jane has been working on some stuff, telling Lisbon he needs time. By the end of the episode, he tells her that he's back, but things are still not settled between them.

Modern Family: Valentine's Day 4: Twisted Sister (6x14)

Really, really funny. Pretty much everything about this episode made me chuckle.

It's Valentine's Day, and Phil is excited to do his normal role playing game with Claire. Claire fakes it like she can't make it to the hotel, but then shows up as Juliana, ready to have a wild night of passion with "Clive Bixby." Very quickly, Claire realizes that Phil seems to be in love with "Juliana," so she tries to make Juliana less appealing to Phil. In the end, Phil realizes what's going on and tells "Juliana" that he can't see her anymore, because he's still very much in love with his wife.

Too many funny moments in this one to count. I think my favorite was Juliana's impassioned rant about Dirty Dancing. That really made me chuckle. Also, I loved Claire's fake-out at the beginning, and the way that Phil actually fell for it. The cutest part, though, was at the very end when Phil breaks up with Juliana. Claire tries to follow Phil inside of the house, but Phil stays in character and keeps telling "Juliana" to stop following him. He even closes the door in Claire's face, to her annoyance, but he then opens it and drags her inside, both of them laughing. It was such a sweet way to remind us that Claire and Phil can be a good couple. They always seem really unbalanced, like Claire's the competent one and Phil's an idiot, but this episode showed them on more equal footing, and I loved it.

Gloria's sister is in town, and she spends Valentine's Day being all subservient and timid. That is, until Jay feels bad and gives her a necklace (it was originally supposed to be a collar for Stella). Sonia then starts flirting with Jay, but when Jay tells Gloria, she doesn't believe him, thinking that Jay is just feeling neglected on Valentine's Day. In the end, it turns out Sonia was hitting on him. Gloria hears the whole thing on the baby monitor and comes storming into the room. The two sisters fight over Jay, and he happily declares this to be the best Valentine's Day ever.

Suits: Fork in the Road (4x13)

Louis I'm going to kill you. I swear to God. I cannot forgive him for this. I don't even know what to do about it. Ugh. I'm going to go ahead and jump right in to the plot, and then I'll yell at Louis some more.

In the present day, Jessica tells Harvey he has to patch things up with Louis. Harvey knows that this won't happen unless he can get Louis to forgive Mike. So, he tells Mike to meet him at his car dealer, and then he goes to Louis and tells him that he wants to offer him 50% of McKernan Motors, a very important client for Harvey. When Harvey, Louis, and Mike all show up, Louis and Mike are pissed off that they have to go on this little road trip together. In the car, Harvey acts as mediator as the two of them throw insults around. Louis goes too far when he accuses Mike of lying about being an orphan, and brings Mike's grandmother into it. When they stop for gas, Harvey goes inside and leaves the two alone. Louis ends up attacking Mike and pinning him to the car. Harvey comes out and puts a stop to it.

Louis and Mike then have a real conversation about their issues. Mike apologizes for the lies, and Louis apologizes for saying that stuff about Mike's grandmother and his parents. In this episode, we also learn that Mike never learned to drive, and Mike admits to Louis that he was always too scared to get behind the wheel because of what happened to his parents. Harvey, Louis, and Mike arrive at McKernan Motors. Harvey says that he promised Louis 50%, but didn't say he was keeping the other 50%... that goes to Mike. Harvey has Ray give him a ride back. Once Louis and Mike are done talking to their new client, they'll take the car back together. Louis will teach Mike to drive on the way home.

Parks and Recreation: Pie-Mary (7x09)

OH MY GOD. This is my favorite episode ever. Yes, yes, yes! Good job, Parks and Recreation. Seriously. Good job. Let's go over the plot, yeah?

Ben's campaign gets under way, and Leslie immediately comes under fire for not being a good wife. She refuses to participate in a pie contest traditionally done by all the congressional wives. People have lots of different opinions. Women's rights organizations applaud her for not participating, while most people turn on her for not being a good wife. They come up with a solution - Ben will enter the contest instead, therefore showing their willingness to participate in tradition, while still getting rid of the sexism. It doesn't go as planned, as a men's rights activist group shows up and says that Ben is being repressed by Leslie. Leslie is told that she must publicly apologize. Right before she does that, Ben decides he can't let her go through with it. The two of them tear down this whole ridiculous sexist thing, calling out the men's rights activists for their ridiculousness, and just in general bashing down the criticism. They get about 50% cheers, 50% boos.

Meanwhile, April breaks the news to Ron that she'll be moving to start her new job, and Ron requests that April give him back the key to his house that he gave her years ago in case of emergencies. April goes to get the key out of the hiding place, but then she remembered that she set up a scavenger hunt to keep the key well hidden. April and Andy tell Ron what happened, but he's not upset - he's excited to try and solve the puzzle! April, Andy and Ron all run around trying to solve the mystery. They go to Donna, then down to the old shoe shine station. The key is nowhere to be found. Ron eventually tells April that he changes the locks on his house doors all the time, so the key is useless anyway. April realizes where it's hidden - she buried it under a tree that reminded her of Ron.

Supernatural: Halt & Catch Fire (10x13)

I... ugh. I didn't... like this episode. Like, at all. I mean, there were individual moments that were okay, but mostly I was just exasperated the whole time. Let's briefly go over what actually happens here.

Sam and Dean are on the case, as it seems a possessed truck has killed somebody. When they arrive in the town, it looks like things are a bit more complicated than that. The GPS system inside of a car started going crazy, and the car drove a man into a collision and killed him. Quickly, more bodies start dropping. One girl is strangled by her computer cord, another guy gets his head blown inward by intense sound as his stereo system turns up.

In the end, it turns out that there were four college kids in a car and they caused an accident. Wireless lines fell on the other car and it started a fire. The man inside died horribly. Now, this ghost is inside the wireless network, killing off the four kids who caused his death. There's only one girl left, named Delilah.

The dead man's wife knows that he's still around, and she comes clean to Sam about the visitations from her dead husband. Dean meanwhile stays with Delilah to try and protect her from the vengeful ghost. The ghost shows up and nearly kills Delilah, but then Sam and Delilah set up a video call so that the ghost's wife can talk to him. She talks him down, and he is able to let go and move on. Delilah goes to visit the wife to own up to her mistake and apologize for what she and her friends did.

Parks and Recreation: Mrs. Ludgate-Dwyer Goes to Washington (7x08)

Aww! April is all grown up. Let's take a look at this episode. This might be my favorite of the season so far. It all clicked together very nicely, and it had a lot of funny jokes!

April and Leslie are all set to go to Washington DC to talk to some senators about a Parks Department budget proposal. Ben suggests that April tell Leslie that she wants to leave her job, but April doesn't want to because she knows Leslie will freak out. In DC, Leslie and April have successful talks with several important politicians. Leslie gets offered a promotion that would mean moving her to DC. She wants to accept, and she's excited about the next step in her life. She also talks to April about her five-year government plan. April, finally fed up, tells Leslie that she doesn't want to work in government anymore. Leslie is upset, and runs off to have lunch with Madeleine Albright to console herself.

Later, Leslie and April talk again. Leslie apologizes for getting mad - she wants all of her friends to be happy together, but more importantly she just wants them to be happy. April tells Leslie that it's all thanks to her that she has ambition and dreams in the first place. Leslie takes April to a consulting company that helps place people in jobs. After April talks to a woman about her goals, she realizes that she wants to work there - at the company. It hits all of her requirements. Creative problem-solving, telling people what to do, etc. Leslie is so proud of April for following her dreams.

Back in Pawnee, Andy has decided to use April's absence to track down the perfect job for her. He gets Ben involved. First, they go to see if Ron's company has anything that April would want, but that turns out to be a dead end. Ron does agree to help them in the search, though, because he says getting a good person out of government is a noble goal.

Castle: Resurrection (7x14)

Dun dun dunnnnnnn...

I'm going to be brief, going through the plot of this one. There's really only one thing we need to talk about, after all.

Basically, Lanie notices that a murder victim has had some plastic surgery done, and she thinks the work was done by Dr. Kelly Nieman, the plastic surgeon who also just happened to be Jerry Tyson's (3XK's) girlfriend. What does this mean? As they try to figure out what happened to this dead girl, they find someone else who looks just like her, and figure out that Dr. Nieman must have made one of the girls look like the other, just like she did with Lanie and Espo. When they go to find a guy named Michael Boudreau, they are instead confronted with Jerry Tyson!

They bring Jerry in, but here's where it gets weird - Jerry Tyson says he's Michael Boudreau, and that he's had some work done, so that's why he looks like the supposedly dead serial killer. The rest of the episode is basically just them trying to prove that the man they have in holding is in fact that serial killer 3XK. Every line of inquiry falls flat. They even get some old DNA from some baby teeth saved by Jerry's mother, but the DNA doesn't match the man they have in holding. They are forced to let "Michael Boudreau" go.

A bit earlier, Beckett had run off to find one of the girls caught up in this whole case - the person who the victim was changed to imitate. As "Boudreau" and Kelly Nieman leave the precinct together, hand in hand, Castle still can't get an uneasy feeling out of his head. "Boudreau" winks at him just as the elevator closes on him. Castle tries to call Beckett, to no avail - she won't answer her phone. We see Beckett on the street, as she is injected with something and taken away, unconscious.

The Walking Dead: What Happened and What's Going On (5x09)

To be honest, I'm feeling a bit disappointed. That really wasn't a strong mid-season opener. Surprisingly, it seems like the reviews for this episode have mostly been highly complimentary. I'll talk about the things that worked well, too, but I guess I don't agree with the overall acclaim. Let's go through the plot.

After Beth's death, the group decide to honor Beth's wishes by going with Noah to the walled community where he used to live with his family. They all make the journey, and then a scouting party runs ahead to check out the walled community and see what's what. This scouting party consists of Rick, Tyreese, Michonne, Glenn, and Noah. When they get there, they find to their horror that the community is no more. Everybody is dead.

Michonne thinks that maybe they could settle down here, because she thinks they need to have a purpose again, instead of just trying to survive. Rick points out that the location has no good sight-lines because of the trees. Later, Michonne suggests that they try to get to Washington DC. Even though Eugene was lying about the cure, he was right to think that they might have a better chance of a life in DC.

Inside Noah's house, Noah finds his mother's body. As Tyreese looks at a picture of Noah's little brothers, he is suddenly bitten on the arm by one of the reanimated brothers. Noah takes care of the Walker, but Tyreese is already losing a lot of blood. Noah runs off to find the others.

Elementary: Hemlock (3x13)

Oh my God! What the Hell! Are you for serious right now? That was intense! Let's jump right in.

Sherlock is bored and lonely now that Kitty is gone. He continually tries to find somebody else to work with, but nobody seems interesting enough. Eventually, in desperation, Sherlock takes the case of a woman who thinks her husband is having an affair. Ordinarily this would be be beneath him, but Sherlock is desperate for something to do.

As Joan and Sherlock get to work on the case, it looks like it's more complicated than they thought. The missing man was lying about working at a law firm, and was instead a debt collector. He basically buys debt from credit card companies and then gets people to pay him back, making a tidy profit. It looks like this man was killed, and it doesn't take them long to realize that a bunch of shady people were investing in his company. Who killed him?

Well, it looks like the victim had a change of heart and was going around forgiving people's debts instead of forcing them to pay. Because of this, one company that wanted to build a ski resort couldn't use a man's debt to leverage him into moving out of his house, which is right in the middle of the proposed resort location. It looks like a man in this company is responsible for the death.

In a subplot, Andrew has returned from Copenhagen and can now stay around on a permanent basis. Sherlock observes that Joan doesn't seem excited about her boyfriend sticking around, and Joan is made uncomfortable by the realization that Sherlock is right. When Joan goes out for dinner with Andrew and his father, she realizes that she's not feeling any of the things she should be feelings at this stage in a relationship. She talks with Sherlock about it, and realizes that she needs to break up with him.

The Vampire Diaries: The Day I Tried to Live (6x13)

Okay! Bonnie! I was wondering what was going on with her, and I'm glad to see her again. Let's go through this episode and see what there is to see.

It's Bonnie's birthday, and Elena decides that they should all celebrate and spend time together, like Bonnie would have wanted. Kai, it turns out, is having a hard time adjusting to his new position as leader of the Gemini Coven. When he merged with Luke, he absorbed some of his attributes, such as compassion and a conscience. As a result, Kai feels really bad that Luke is dead, and wants Elena and Damon to pass along a letter he wrote to Jo, apologizing for everything. Elena and Damon agree to pass the message on, but only if Kai helps them out first.

Elena has the broken remains of the Ascendant, and she wants Kai to help them get to Bonnie. He says he can't use it to get Bonnie back, but he might be able to get them to see Bonnie and talk to her. He does a spell, and they all see Bonnie. However, she can't see them. Bonnie is drinking a bottle of expensive bourbon. Damon says that the bottle was part of a pact that the two of them had when they were stuck together - when it got to be too bad, they would drink the whole thing and then kill themselves. It looks like Bonnie is giving up. Kai can't hold the magic any longer, since it's draining him, but he does agree to send just Jeremy back in to try and communicate with Bonnie somehow.

Damon knows that there's a source of magic in Nova Scotia, left there by Qetsiyah. Jeremy is going to go back into the 1994 world and find an atlas that Damon had taken notes in, back when he was trapped. If he can open the atlas to the right page and draw Bonnie's attention to it, she'll realize that she has a chance to get some magic back and send herself home. However, Jeremy is only able to make physical contact with the atlas for a fleeting moment. He opens to the right page, but it falls on the ground. Bonnie goes into the garage and turns on the car, sitting down near the exhaust pipe and getting ready to die from carbon monoxide poisoning. Jeremy is with her, trying to get her to see him. Bonnie tapes a goodbye message, even though she doesn't think anybody will see it. As she tells Jeremy to be strong, she realizes that this is what her Grams always said to her. She doesn't want to give up. Jeremy manages to fleetingly make contact with the garage door opener, saving Bonnie's life. Bonnie finds the atlas on the floor and packs up, ready to head out to Nova Scotia.

The Big Bang Theory: The Troll Manifestation (8x14)

Okay... I have to admit, this episode actually amused me! This show never blows me away, but this episode actually had me chuckling a little bit.

Leonard has an epiphany about his research. He shares it with Sheldon, who loves the idea and immediately helps Leonard with it. The two of them write a paper and post it online to see what others think. Overwhelmingly, everybody thinks the paper is really innovative and original. Then, one anonymous person writes a mean message. Sheldon responds, feeding the troll, and the anonymous person keeps tearing Leonard and Sheldon down. Eventually, the troll actually video calls Sheldon, who is scared to answer. The two of them then decide to stand up for themselves, and they call the troll back. Turns out, it's Stephen Hawking! He thought their paper was very good, but he just wanted to mess with them.

First of all, I liked the fact that Leonard and Sheldon were a team here. There are lots of episodes that show one or both of them being annoyed with the other, or just in general they tend to tear each other down a lot. In this episode, they presented a united front, and I appreciated that. I was especially fond of the way that Leonard was nervous to share his idea with Sheldon, because he obviously respects Sheldon's intellect. Sheldon's support meant a lot to him. There was a funny recurring joke where Sheldon and Leonard called each other "Mr. Innovative" and "Mr. Original" or whatever else the online comments were saying about them. Howard would join in, and look to Raj to finish the improv, but Raj had nothing. So, that made me smile. Also, I do like it when Stephen Hawking comes on this show. I mean, I know it's probably beneath his dignity or whatever, but I'm a sucker for stupid celebrity cameos when they're done right.

Grey's Anatomy: The Bed's Too Big Without You (11x10)

I really, really liked one plot thread in this episode in particular. The whole thing was pretty good, but there was one part that I just adored above the rest. Let's get started!

Meredith is having trouble on her own. She misses Derek and Cristina, and finds that she cannot sleep well when she's alone. At work, she is getting ready to remove a tumor from a woman's abdomen. When she gets in there, she discovers that the tumor has grown to a truly alarming size, and that her original plan for getting it out won't work. She calls in Maggie and Bailey to help her. Meredith has the idea to use her 3-D printer to print out the tumor and therefore be able to truly understand it in its entirety. That way, she'll know how to get it out. After waiting for hours for the tumor to print, they have a working model. Everybody comes together to try and figure out how to remove the tumor. While Meredith, Maggie, and Bailey are still discussing the right approach, their patient starts bleeding and they have to go in and do the surgery. Although it's hard work, the three of them together are able to work out the puzzle and save the woman's life. That night, Meredith calls Maggie and talks with her, both of them happy to be filling up the loneliness with a friendly presence.

Meanwhile, April and Jackson get a test done to find out how badly their baby is going to be sick. Basically, there are two possible outcomes. If it's Type 3, it'll be hard, but their baby can live. If it's Type 2, the baby likely won't live very long after birth. Jackson admits that he'd want to terminate the pregnancy if it is Type 2, but April wants to keep her son no matter what. April's mother comes into town and takes April to church, saying that she'll find comfort there. As April's mother and Jackson fight about what's best for April, she finally explodes at both of them, telling them that neither of them are helping. At the very end, we see Arizona and Dr. Herman come in to give April and Jackson the results of the test.

The Mentalist: Nothing Gold Can Stay (7x10)

Okay... so, they did a good job with the scenario, but the scenario itself just pisses me off. I'm just... ugh. Let's do the plot first and then I'll explain what I mean.

So, three robbers steal thousands of dollars and end up hurting people in the process. The team tries to track down the robbers. While canvasing, Cho and Vega find two of the criminals in a diner. During a confrontation, one of the robbers gets shot, but so does Vega. Cho holds her as they wait for the ambulance. Everybody rushes to the hospital, but Vega doesn't make it. Everybody is distraught, especially Wylie, who had just asked Vega out on a date, and Cho, who was with her when she died.

Abbott and the others are all determined to get revenge and track down the guys who killed her. Technically, they aren't allowed to work Vega's case, but the guy in charge seems okay with letting them take the reins. They canvas different drug stores, looking for one of the robbers to show up and buy bandages, because one of the other criminals got shot in the altercation. The bad guys realize that they're being tailed, and they take a hostage and end up holing up in a house with an old woman and her nephew. The three robbers are inside - two brothers, one of them injured, and another guy.

Jane has an idea to use the brother's injury to throw a wedge between the other two robbers. They say they won't get a doctor to help unless they turn themselves over. Later, Jane purposefully feeds false information to the news so that the robbers will hear conflicting information, making it seem like one of them is dealing with the cops behind the other's back. This plan works, as the robbers start turning against each other. However, they lash out and hurt one of the hostages, which causes Cho to think they should storm the place and take these men out.

Modern Family: Rash Decisions (6x13)

Some cute stuff! Nothing that really stood out all that much, but all in all, an okay episode.

It looks like little Joe has a rash, and it might be Stella. In order to see if Joe is allergic to her, they have to separate the two for a while. Jay gives Stella to Cam and Mitchell for a while. He's worried that Cam is spoiling Stella, and he doesn't want Stella to think Cam loves him more. Joe's rash clears up, so it looks like it is in fact an allergy to the dog. Jay sadly says goodbye to Stella, while Cam secretly rejoices in his new pet. However, later we find out that Joe is allergic to Gloria's face cream, not the dog, and Stella gets to come back! Lily is relieved, because she didn't care much for Stella.

Jay's love for Stella is a good recurring theme on this show, but this plot thread wasn't anything too outstanding. I don't think they utilized the comedic potential as well as they could have. He could have been a lot funnier when he was saying goodbye to Stella, and they could have done more with the Larry the Cat/Stella the Dog conflict. However, the fact that Manny turned out to be allergic to Stella was really funny - Jay didn't care at all, and brought the dog back anyway!

Mitchell does some freelance work at the closet company, and he decides that he'll pretend to be laid back and easy going at this job. At his regular office, he's known for being neurotic and always yelling at everybody to be clean. Claire, on the other hand, is still having problems making friends with her co-workers. They all see her as a manager, but not as a friend. Claire is supposed to talk to one girl in the office about dressing more appropriately, and in fact has a long list of things she's supposed to say to the employees. She doesn't want to be the lady to dole out all the criticisms, because she thinks it will make everybody like her even less. Mitchell, who's been having fun making friends with everybody, steps in and saves Claire the trouble by listing all of the complaints himself.

Suits: Respect (4x12)

Oh my God. Thank you, universe, for this influx of the bromance. Last week was a little light on the Harvey/Mike material, but this week was just... gosh. I'm a happy camper. Let's take a look at the plot first, though.

Stephen Macht is back as Professor Gerard, the man who nearly discovered Mike's secret last season. He wants Harvey's help on a case - he is being accused of accepting a bribe - but Harvey doesn't want to take the case up. Mike yells at Harvey for letting his personal grudge get in the way of doing his job, and Harvey decides to take the case after all. Gerard got the $25,000 playing back room poker, and it's up to Harvey and Mike to figure out how to get him off on the charges without revealing the alibi. They manage to find a way to use the TSA - the opposing council wants to turn this into a case of national security to mess with them, so Harvey decides to use that to make Gerard testify under seal. That way, the judge will know about Gerard's gambling, know he's innocent of the crime he's being charged with, and Harvard Law will never find out about the gambling and fire Gerard.

There's a snag in this plan, though. As Mike preps Gerard for taking the stand, he notices a hole in his story - he is inconsistent about his winning hand in the poker game. Mike tells Harvey that Gerard is lying. At first Harvey doesn't want to believe it, but eventually he does, confronting Gerard and learning the truth. He accepted the $25,000 as a bribe for changing a student's grade. Harvey confesses to Mike that the reason he doesn't care about winning this case for Gerard is that he always thought Gerard was better than the rest of them, and actually had a sense of ethics. He's disappointed to find out Gerard is just as corrupt as the rest of them. Mike does come up with a plan to save Gerard, though.

Parks and Recreation: Donna & Joe (7x07)

Awww! Donna and Joe! I'm so happy for the two of them. Also, we finally saw the triplets! Thank goodness! Let's take a look at what happened.

Donna's wedding day has arrived. April is the maid of honor, and Craig is the wedding planner. The Meagle family is crazy, so April and Andy spend most of the wedding and reception trying to keep all of the Meagles from yelling at each other and causing drama. Donna says that she misses the drama a little bit, so April lets Donna's estranged brother come in and cause a scene. Donna is grateful.

Also at the wedding, Tom tells Ron that he really likes Lucy, and that he "would marry her tomorrow." When Ron repeats this to Lucy, she is understandably freaked out. Tom tells Ron to make it better, but Ron makes it worse. Lucy thinks that Tom is going too fast, but then Ron eventually smooths things over and tells them that they should be honest with each other about how they feel. Tom says that he's all in with Lucy, but he doesn't want to rush her. Looks like things are going to be okay between them.

Ben and Leslie take the night off from the kids, staying in a hotel after the rehearsal dinner. They leave the kids with a very frazzled nanny. Jen Barkley shows up and says that Ben should run for the House of Representatives. Ben isn't sure, so Leslie decides to help him with his decision. First, he'll pretend that he's decided to run, and act like he's campaigning for the day. The next day, he'll act like he's decided not to run, and see how that feels. While Ben is at the rehearsal dinner, he gets quite drunk, and enjoys himself a little bit too much with his shmoozing of the wedding guests. Leslie also has a lot to drink.

Supernatural: About a Boy (10x12)

I'm distinctly torn about this episode, because on the one hand - oh my GOD this was adorable. But on the other hand? I'm not convinced that they used this scenario to its full potential. Let's go over what happened.

Sam is worried about Dean, because he's locked himself in the bunker and refuses to do anything but research about the Mark. Sam finally convinces him to work a case. They show up in a town where people have been disappearing. Dean flirts with a girl named Tina in a bar, while Sam scopes out the neighborhood looking for clues. When Tina leaves the bar, Dean hears her scream and goes to investigate. Both Tina and Dean are taken.

When Dean wakes up, he's in a basement, and he's fourteen years old. Tina has also been de-aged. There's a mean, gruff looking man as their prison-guard, and Tina distracts him so that Dean can escape and come back with help. Dean goes to Sam, who is of course shocked that Dean has been de-aged.

The two of them go back to free Tina and figure out what's going on - they know it's a witch, and that they need to find a way to defeat her. However, Dean points out that since he's de-aged, he doesn't have the Mark of Cain any more. Maybe he should stay young in order to solve that problem. Sam is skeptical, but Dean does have a point.

Castle: I, Witness (7x13)

I didn't like this episode. I'm saying it upfront. And since I didn't like it, but it didn't, like, piss me off or anything, I probably won't be very verbose about it. Let's just jump in.

So, Castle gets a case that involves working with an old acquaintance of his from high school. She is worried that her husband is cheating on her. Castle takes the case, even though he feels it's beneath him. He finds out that the husband is indeed cheating, but when he goes over to give the pictures to his client, he finds her dead body being dragged out of the house! Castle tries to chase down the car that's taking her away, but ends up clubbed over the head for his trouble. He wakes up later, and the investigation begins.

Castle is convinced that his client's husband murdered her. The evidence isn't there at first, but slowly things start to look more and more suspicious. At one point Castle thinks that maybe the victim never died at all (they haven't found her body), but then the body does turn up, and there's DNA evidence of her husband under her fingernails. When they go to arrest the husband, though, they find that he has hanged himself.

Castle is uneasy with this, because he doesn't believe that this man would kill himself. Turns out, he was right - in the end, we discover that it was the lawyer representing the Whitfields who killed both of them. She was doing it out of revenge for the death of Mr. Whitfield's first wife, who was the lawyer's sorority sister.

Elementary: The One That Got Away (3x12)

Oh my God I cried. I literally, literally cried. I rarely cry when watching TV, and I've certainly never gotten this emotional over this show before, but my goodness. This was depressing. Let's just jump in, shall we?

Joan and Sherlock talk about Del Gruner, wondering if he could possibly be Kitty's rapist. Del calls Joan and fires her, which is certainly suspicious. The NYPD tries to question Del, connecting him to the scene of Kitty's rape, and questioning him about his broken fingers. However, Del has excuses for all of the coincidences, and the case doesn't go anywhere. Sherlock and Joan start looking into other potential victims of Del's, trying to find a way to conclusively connect him to some of the cases.

They come across a woman named Tabitha Laird, who seems to be suspiciously connected to Del in some way. Joan goes to a charity gala and taunts Del about what she suspects, and Del gets especially angry when Tabitha comes over. Something is clearly going on with this woman. Sherlock puts it together - Tabitha Laird's son was adopted. He's the biological child of Del Gruner and one of his victims. If they can prove the biological connection, Del will be caught for sure.

However, they can't find Del. Turns out, Kitty has him. Earlier, Kitty had told Sherlock she was leaving to go back to London, but she actually stayed around. She kidnaps Del and brings him to a warehouse. She has him tied up and is planning on torturing and killing him. Sherlock knew that Kitty never really left New York, due to a tracking device on her phone. He finds Kitty and talks to her. He tells her that she saved him, and that they will always be friends, no matter what Kitty decides to do with Del. Kitty doesn't kill Del, but she does burn his face off and leave him for the police to find. This time, she really does leave New York, calling Sherlock from the airport to say goodbye.

The Vampire Diaries: Prayer for the Dying (6x12)

Noooooooooooooooo. Well, this is not going to be good. Let's just say that. As is often the case with this show, the plot is just the tiniest bit convoluted, so let's just jump right in and try to get all the details, shall we?

Caroline is startled to find Colin, the cancer patient she fed her blood to, show up at her doorstep. Very quickly, Stefan discovers that Colin is a vampire, meaning that he died after Caroline fed him her blood. Sadly, he is in immense pain, as the cancer continues to plague him even in his vampiric state. Caroline is horrified, because this means the same thing is likely to happen to her mother. Jo runs some tests, and everybody waits anxiously to see what can be done.

Damon, particularly distressed about Liz, kills Colin to put him out of his misery. He also finds time to talk to Elena about their relationship. He's eager to pick up where they left off, but Elena says she needs to start over and make new memories.

Meanwhile, Liv and Luke's 22nd birthday has arrived, which means that they're ready to merge. Tyler is resistant, obviously, and Liv and Luke have also decided not to go through with it. Their dad takes them out for a birthday meal, and they propose to him that they hold off on the merge for a little bit, and wait for Jo to get stronger so she can merge with Kai. Their father doesn't think that's going to work, and Tyler, desperate for some insurance, goes to get Kai.

Grey's Anatomy: Where Do We Go From Here (11x09)

Hoooookay then. Things are very dramatic right now. Which I guess is always the case with this show, but still. Let's just take a look-see.

The main medical plot of this episode involves a woman who causes a multiple-car accident by driving her car off of a bridge. Her kids were in the car with her. Everybody scrambles to help the victims, but this particular medical case affects many of the doctors personally, as well. Eventually, Meredith discovers that the woman had a tumor on her pancreas which caused her erratic behavior and confusion. She did not mean to hurt herself or her children.

April and Jackson have just found out about their unborn child's terrible disease. Jackson doesn't think April should be working, but she disagrees. She needs to feel useful, like she can do something to help people. She gets mad when Owen and Jackson pull April out of an OR because they feel like she's not emotionally stable. Later, she blows up, furious that a mother could drive her kids over a bridge and nearly kill them. April and Jackson talk about what to do, and April, weeping, tells Jackson that their baby is a boy.

Bailey and Alex, meanwhile, are working on two kids who were in another car in the accident. The older kid was driving, even though he's clearly not old enough yet. As he gets wheeled off for surgery, the younger kid refuses to tell Bailey who their parents are. Bailey eventually gets the kid to talk, and the parents are called. Bailey confesses to Alex that she's worried about being there for her own kids - she has been so busy at the hospital that she's not even aware of what's going on with Tuck. Apparently he recently stole a candy bar, and Ben was the one to deal with it. Alex and Jo, inspired by the car-thievery, talk about their own delinquent pasts.
